Her tackle game is better than Leon's. She is a grappler.
She does have the tackle and the various ways to get into it on top of the ground throws but that's it. Her regular throws are very basic and she doesn't have the grappler speed benefit. I wouldn't consider her a full-blown grappler.

With the exceptions of Lisa, Hayate, Helena, and possibly Ayane, no character in this game should be slept on. Everyone has some pretty killer shit and I can't wait to see what the character specialists do. I'm already finding some pretty devious setups with Hayabusa that were previously impossible. Balance is looking pretty solid.

What's wrong with Ayane?

It's still technically freakin' release day -1, as much as we can make educated guesses (like what I did based on what certain people who I wont name have been saying), who knows what will happen in the next 6 or so months.

From what I've seen, she deals very, very little damage and doesn't exactly have the comparative speed advantage she's had over other characters in previous installments.

But I don't have the game yet (and I only got the Hayabusa+Hitomi Alpha demo), so can't say for sure.

This. At the earliest 3 months from is when well truly start seeing which characters may seem more solid than others. Some characters might seem strong in the beginning but end up being terrible once people start figuring them out. The best and most known case in recent memory sentinel in MvC3 being nerfed to soon. One of the things that irritated me about MK was the constant balance changes.

From my experience. Tina is really safe i think, when ever i fight against her, i rarely ever can throw punish. When i play as Helena, i mainly rely on mixing up her attacks because like Dr. Dogg said, she doest have many of those new stuns everyone else got, but i still think she's good.

Regardless of what Bryan's going to do. We should avoid any tier lists until AT LEAST Christmas. Just my opinion.

So then what would you call Spartan? Because she was very strike heavy but she was still a grappler.

Is Ryu considered a grappler now? He has a 4i normal throw and a 6i command throw. The only other characters that have that are Lisa, Tina, and Bass.

I'm just really disappointed with how they nerfed some of the guaranteed situations for grapplers and the nerfs Bass got. I just don't get it.

Game isnt even out yet for crying out loud... Could we start with the tier talk after the meta game settles, instead of before the game gets released?
