You're probably right. ): I was just thinking maybe because the PS3 can't do it at all there'd be some way to turn it off on PS4.

I highly doubt that you'll be able to disable it. The only possible way I can see it happening is if they make the clothing destruction exclusive to the OMG breast motion setting or something like that. In which case, simply don't use OMG and you don't have to see the appalling destruction. Which is fine because no one should be using OMG anyway.

Still, I expect we'll be forced to see the destruction though.

the one thing i can see that happening if future DLC than SK can self destruct too as TN already got the licenses engine. and expect the DLC price increase

They could just add clothing destruction as an option in Extras. They still need to add the ability to delete saved replays on Xbox One (still boggles the mind why that isn't a thing) so they could could the proverbial two birds with one stone.

Alternately, if you don't want clothing destruction, don't get hit.

...Would it really be that hard to just, say, stick a setting in the options menu? Or even on the character select screen, kinda like how you can turn danger zones off on the stage select?

Obvious ones confirmed. Kasumi as Asuka, Honoka as Hibari and Marie Rose as Mirai.
From now on we'll see less obvious cosplays. Let's see who is who.
For now we have that TN changed MR's hair, but Kasumi and Honoka have their regular hairstyle, not changed at all.

I'm really disappointed that we don't get the clothing destruction option ! That, plus the PC version's fail is really getting on my nerves. They better give the option to PC...
I don't remember being so pissed about TN's laziness.

- Eh, Honoka as Hibari isn't so obvious compared to Kasumi/Asuka and MR/Mirai. She could have gotten at least a couple different outfits that fit her motif. It's gonna be a slow wait if they are gonna tease one new character at a time.

Hibari ninja outfit is nothing special though since it's pretty much the track jacket/bloomers with those socks. I'm inclined to assume maybe they modified the hair a bit to look like Hibari more since the screenshot cuts off the upper portion of her head conveniently. It would be sick though if the Hibari outfit somehow gave Honoka the Kagan eyes which is also not being shown in the screenshot.

- Kasumi outfit looks relatively plain because because Asuka arguably has the plainest shinobi outfit in the entire series since the notable details is basically the sweater vest + bandana/scarf around her neck. At least they bothered to include the weapons for some extra flare. Besides Ikaruga, Hanzo school has the plainest ninja outfits since they are very school centric.

- Pleasantly surprised about the amount of detail MR got with her outfit. Not only is the outfit fitting, but it was faithful from the hair color, hairstyle, umbrella, and even the fang tooth. Hopefully that much attention gets spread to some of the other characters too.

- Not surprised clothing destruction would be limited to PS4/XBO. TN/TK made it clear they want to add incentives for that platform.

Actually I think Honoka as Hibari was the obvious choice (if you remember before her reveal people initially thought Honoka was Hibari when TN showed the teaser of the "new character" a while back). Also their personalities seem fairly similar. But I agree I don't care for that outfit.

Hoping that they put stars in her eyes if they don't change her hair. XD

I was wrong, in the end we really got previews even if from Famitsu (and not directly from TN): the outfits for Kasumi and Marie Rose are so faithful and beautiful, I really like them. Also, if Honoka's head was cut but still making clear how she is Honoka in Hibari's outfit, I'm sure that she got at least the 'flower pupils', so far imo kept hidden for the revelation with the DLC pack.

No surprise for the clothing destruction being an exclusive of the current gen, from the release of the details of DoA5LR on PS3/Xbox 360 it's clear that the next gen is the only place where to experiment the full experience of the game; something that yesterday was sadly further confirmed from the details about the Steam version.
