Everyone: "Look at us! We're blondes (save Kasumi) and one to a franchise. Let's erotically squish boobs!"

Hayabusa: "Y'all are fuckin' stupid."

I'm actually surprised TN was okay with that promotional pic. I'd also like to know what Sarah is doing in the back with her eyes closed and groping some imaginary object?

im quite sure that had nothing to do with what he said. he was assuming TN said "DOA is perfect we cant do anything more so leave it" when in actuality they are just letting this current game settle which at this point is probably fine even if i personally like to see overhauls just to mix things up.

...what?

Well, why wouldn't he? (Note, he didn't say anything about it being "perfect"). Like I said though, which was my point - why release LR to begin with if all it is is an "update?" Most are saying LR is not worth the justification of a download or buy! If folks can say, "Get the One version instead of the 360" when all you do is slap some more paint on it!

Having a cross-gen game is like a raw game getting all the sweet stuff vs. one that has all the sweet stuff in it. Which is worse? DOA's problem with LR, where's the sweetness or what is it? Nothing we haven't seen before in Ultimate already.

im surprised you're surprised, this is TN we're talking about.

lol true. XD It just looks so lewd even by DOA standards. Like something you'd see on deviantart and that's about as low as you can get. Not that there isn't great art on that site but you know what I'm talking about.

Although I have to say, the faces alone in some of those pics are priceless. XD

Granting that's the case, isn't Injustice: Ultimate Edition for PS4 such a bad game because it's more paint on an old game? This was intended to be the mythical XB1/PS4 port we've all been asking for, and when we get it, we even get some new content. Apparently everyone just forgot about that and made Super Street Fighter Turbo jokes.

I think TN still has a few tricks up their sleeves. If you remember there were things mentioned in the past like the SK collaboration, TN considering adding DOA1 bgm's, etc... I think everyone is giving up too quickly. There's obviously disappointing aspects that we've seen but it doesn't mean there won't be surprises.
My main issue is that, from the beginning if the year, with a few exceptions, they keep releasing shoddy dart boarded content that they are obviously putting little to no thought into, then expecting us to be content with the new content just BECAUSE its new content, even though its shitty new content.

I mean, props for the contest costumes, minus the characters who got shafted of course, but even with last round I look at stuff so far and I'm thinking.... why bother? Again back to the new hairstyles as an example, but its the best example. Yeah its new hair, but its so fucking random and inappropriate that I'm just getting angry that they aren't even hiding how little they care anymre. Just throwing darts at a hairstylist magazine and calling it a day.

So far last round has not only been dissappointing, but downright insulting.

I hope you are right, and real, worthwhile content is still on the way.

Just remember though, 3 months ago we thought it was the end of 5. That DOA was not releasing any more characters or stages to the game (we were even questioning if there would be any contest-related DLC).

Some are going to say, "It should have ended after Nyo" but in my opinion, having the game cut off from any non-outfit content with us having to wait X amount of years until 6 would have been the worst case scenario. So I'm not saying to be grateful but it definitely puts things in a different light.

And who knows, maybe we can try and convince TN to create a new stage that would be compatible with both last and current gen. It's not impossible since they've added DLC stages already. PS: The water graphics looks great on PS3/360 and Aerial Gardens is known to have plenty of it. ;)

It probably has to do with the "name change". People expected an update similar from DOA5 to DOA5U. Injustice just released a game of the year edition on PS4 as well as PS3.

They should've just been like DOA5 ULTIMATE+ or something and then no one would've had any major expectations.

Don't recall saying Patrokolos was a woman.
The way you worded it was funny. You only had two categories, Everyone and Hayabusa. "Everyone" talks about squishing boobs together. Patroklos has no boobs. Ergo, he must be made into a woman. Rule 63. lol

I've been guessing that Last Round is being developed on current gen then ported to last gen (I wouldn't be surprised right now if it was being optimized on PS4 first and ported out from there just from the play tests). That would somewhat explain (not fully though) why Danger Zone and Crimson as well as a couple other things are specific to current and won't be on last gen. Again, this is also smart marketing, get started on current gen console with a much needed game type (aka fighting) while using an upgraded title to get people interested in your company.
The new engine that can handle all the extra particles and better skin appearance can't exactly overwrite a disc engine without forcing another separation on the same consoles via download is a biggie (the soft engine could theoretically work on last but would have to be a separate title from 5U disc versions). I would guess that stage specific particles and particle colors are the big issue (neon comes in a lot of colors) and removing the particles would take a lot of work (and if done could drive up the price). Kinda like installing a new video card on your computer. The new one can run X while the old one can't and if you go back to the old one you can't run X anymore.

Injustice Ultimate Edition was the same game with all the DLC and slightly better graphics. The problem is that Team Ninja is marketing DOA5LR as a new iteration of DOA5 but it seems more like a PS4/XB1 port with the DLC characters. They're also showing DOA5LR at many events like it has a lot of new content. If they mentioned it was a port from the beginning, no one would be complaining but there wouldn't be much hype. The costumes and characters are probably done but they decided to wait until DOA5LR is released before making them available in DOA5U.
