Maybe or they may just pull a TR9; yet, comparing the current gen consoles, some say there's not that much of a difference. Was it like this last gen?

@Aerospark: Wasn't that done with Ultimate when Phase 4 came over to console? (That's the only character I know that was done to right offhand)

I thought about that too. I don't think there will be much of a difference. TN won't make two different models for old and new gen (and of all the costumes and DLC coming for these characters). That would be so much extra work. All the updating for current gen felt kinda lazy and even the two new stages, which allegedly run only on PS4 and Xbone, look exactly like the old stages on last gen consoles. The only change I can imagine, would be better textures of the clothing/hair and skin, as at least the new female character will make use of the brand new "soft and squishy engine".

By the way, Axel, playing the game on Paris Game Week, thought, that the new costumes of Eliot and Marie Rose looked considerably better (model- and texturewise) than costumes looked before. That could be a sign of graphical improvement of stuff that was made for LR, but that could also just have been wishful thinking and the fact, that he finally could see his costume for the first time in action. The costumes will come to last generation after all too.

I was just thinking about when the first videos/images of LR were shown, TN and KT were hit with everyone saying how it looked exactly the same. Their response was that it was all on PS3... So Crimson, DangerZone and the customization window were on PS3?
I am actually fine with how they are treating LR (other than no physical releases for PS360). But all their bullshit PR and marketing, is all over the place.

They did never say, that the trailer ran on PS3. After releasing the trailer they only said, that they will show gameplay of the current gen soon. It was the crowd in here, that jumped to the consclusion: "So this trailer wasn't the PS4 build! It will look so much better! New models, new textures etc...!" I was one of the few people, who told you guys from the beginning over and over again: The first trailer and the screens are already PS4 footage. Announcing Last Round for PS4 and Xbone, but showing last gen footage, would make zero sense. Also the resolution of all that footage was 1080p, which last generation isn't capable of.
It's the PS3 and Xbox360 versions, that we haven't seen any footage of so far. :/ I guess, they don't need to show any footage, because it will (without stages, customization, particle effects, soft engine and hairstyles) be basically just a patched DOA5Ultimate.

Especially the last one. I do know what you mean. Araki's art-style right now is very, "Male model" like. The last picture is a Jojo character, that's done by a different artist. But that's as close as it's gonna get with the pretty boy stuff. And it looks like the picture could be put straight into DOA, anyway (Sculpted). DOA needs a fabulous male character.
