I will admit, the whole swimsuit angle is the reason I haven't posted this on SRK's front page and I'm waiting for the US version of this instead.

so the force tech air juggle enders , no longer connect ? or instead of giving +20 its like +10? care to elaborat?

From what the japanese are saying,
Force techs now only work from untechable knockdowns.

The ability to do it from a juggle is lost but the hits should still connect..

Because of this, I think that they might have added some untechable knockdowns for the characters, either that or force techs might have become a unique property to grapplers to compensate for their lack of speed...I'm Just speculating right now.

If that's true then Tina should still be able to force tech since hers were available from untechables to begin with.

lol, it was you and Allan Paris who gave those matchup numbers that are in the tier list.

I can believe Allan giving those numbers. You sure you have me quoting them?

Then again, he makes it a bit easy. Doesn't know what a tank roll is (It's a low, by the way Allan).

i some reason love that fetishes have come into this topic.

i was sure that Rachel was Sarah during that combo, but i was wrong! they looked so alike during it, moves and all.

Upon closer inspection it seems that the lower part of the legs have been artificially extended to compensate for the lack of footwear. This is a big reason why the barefoot bikinis look so bad.
For a game that puts so much emphasis on visuals, its very sad (and FRUSTRATING) to see TN make the same mistake twice.

See, I use the dark forum theme, so when you make the text the exact color as the background, instinct tells me you forgot to write half your post.

honestly I'm tired of the bikinis period. The only good ones are helena, and momiji and rachel since they didn't have any yet. I would much rather them put effort into making outfits for all characters FREE of charge rather than pull the same shit they always do. Eliot has gotten 1 free new outfit (the other 2 are previous DLC so I don't count them). Meanwhile my other main Hitomi has 2 new outfits, 1 new preorder outfit, and 1 new CE swimsuit . How is that fair?

I'm sorry TN but either make DOAX3 or give it a rest with the swimsuits and charging an absurd amount of $ for them.

/rant

I bet there are a lot more players out there who care about what Hitomi is wearing, compared to what Elliot is wearing. That would explain the difference in the number of available costumes, for those 2 characters.
Helena had that awesome gold swimsuit. Even though its not a bikini, it still show off alot of ass. lol
I agree that they are overpriced though.

Yeah the bikinis went a bit out of hand in DOA5. I think it would have been better for them to make X3 for the public that enjoys that and keep a single bikini per girl in the fighter.

Bikinis are just an easier way to make money than actual costumes. The body models already exist and the "costume" itself requires less work and creativity than a full outfit. The eye candy factor always played a huge role in DOA's marketing, especially for the casual market, so it's really no surprise that the slutty outfits make more money on top of saving Team Ninja ressources. I doubt we'll ever see costumes like Leifang's Kung Fu get-ups from DOA2U or Christie's trenchcoat again.

That was likely it, I have the Getaway set myself and noticed that during some of the girls' win poses, their ankles look either stretched out or bent in some inhuman fashion. As far as the footwear goes, I personally felt it should've been done away with sooner or have had a toggle feature for it, the thought of a girl fighting in a bikini with heels is just silly to me and the ladies' look much more natural without them.

Now, I thought most of the combos in the video were really impressive, especially the Ayane/Kokoro and Rachel/Momiji combos in particular. The Helena combo was nice too but the hit detection looked a bit off to me, otherwise I think the game is shaping up quite nicely and hope we won't see too big of a gap between now and whenever the next trailer may be released.

And this my friend is one of the reasons DOA is suffering as a game. The assumption that people are only playing this for the T&A and TN dedicating more than half of their time flashing the girls' asses off in trailers is clearly not helping their reputation as a serious fighter.

Female costume favoritism over male costumes is what he was talking about.
You're talking about female costume favoritism over gameplay.

You're right I meant to mean both costume and gameplay though. Just their whole approach in general with unequal attention to the characters is frustrating to me.

Everyone and there mothers should know that the girls are the most liked in the game so of course they'll be more favored. Idk how this is new to anyone

And last I checked when the E3 trailer released everyone talked about every costume whether they had melons or sausage so yeah.

It's not new to anyone but I don't think you understand what I'm trying to get at. My point: If TN wants a wider fanbase they've exhausted the bouncing breasts approach and need to think of more effective ways of marketing themselves.
