Consider that the figure market in Japan is mostly made of popular male characters, robots and all the girls ever. So I'm not surprised Cindy got one before the bros.

I'm about to dive back in. It's harder than I thought it'd be to game while in recovery, lol. I'm about 15 hours in now and have begun collecting things that you are told to go collect somewhat early in the game from Tombs. I think I'm looking for my third one now. I've been doing absolutely every side quest I can though because I want to flesh out the Ascension Grid and get more combat abilities.
Magic is fucking broken by the way. I launched a weird multi-cast version of Thundara at one of those big level 30 daemons at night (I was only like level 10 or so) and it annihilated him. The problem is that it also wiped out most of my party. Is there a way to keep the party from being in the blast zone for spells?

Ignis' Regroup skill available in the Ascension Grid. It's one of the most import skills in the game.
The characters can also wear amulets protecting them from certain elements. Usually they don't even take that much damage but the problem is they are incapacitated for some time. The amulets help in this case. There are some in a shop in Lestallum near the hotel. Don't know how powerful they are though.

Found a way to glitch Aranea to be permanent in your party later in the game. There is also hidden dialogue that is not yet released or done completely when paired up with Noctis's group as well as camping animation and photo shoots by Prompto.
I will list the pros and cons when you do this,
Pros
- Aranea can't die. She will always be left at 1 HP if she was ever massively hit, so no danger status either.
- Surprisingly good AI. Most character glitches in guest slots usually just sit there and do nothing, but this character is pretty sold and solid.
- She can revive you when you are in danger status and others. She literally slaps you and your team members out of it.
- Can link tech and blindside tech attack.
- Cool dialogue with characters that wasn't possible in the original route on story when she first appears, such as with Gladios.
- Camping and outpost animations not shown with others and even new dialogue when around Cid and Cindy.
- Literally permanent. You could save, reload your game, and she'll still be there. You could battle daemons at night and she still won't leave since generally she hops back to her ship on random appearances.
Cons
- She has no Ascension customization.
- Can't change her equipment and accessory.
- Can't level up.
- She can't ride Chocobos nor join you on your car trips (there is no animation for it so she'll teleport to your final destination if you are on car).
- Has some in-game speech text, but no voice overs on it. (this is likely a future case of adding her for playable listing characters upcoming and to provide more voice overs on the text that wasn't voiced yet).
- She only has like 2 camping animations and only 1 outpost diners version.
- Some serious scenes she'll be walking around like no one is there or attack on battle cutscenes, such as the final battle where she starts attacking when they are having a stationary speech towards the enemy.
Prompto: Psst so Noct who do you prefer? Aranea or Cindy?
Noctis: Hm. Well she has been saving us and Cindy is good with cars. Can't say?
Prompto: That's not what I meant!
Aranea: You know I can hear you both right?

Yeah,i think Tyaren posted recently how important characters could be playable or more interactive in the future.
So, I'm not too surprised by this. If Aranea ends up becoming playable in co op mode or as a dlc party member it would more than make up for her being kinda throwaway.

Heh interesting.....have to admit here, I was expecting for you to ask on how to do it and for your deep love to Dragoon Knight Aranea. I EXPECTED MORE GRUNT. SUCH IS FATE.

Well, I'm kind having a small break from FFXV until the christmas DLC/NG+ update comes out for now.
But that does make me hopeful for her becoming a full time dlc party member though.

Both Aranea and Iris would be great party dlc, especially since they'd garner more attention to the game and add all kinds of possibilities for future costume DLC... no shame I'd spend $2 - $3(or the £ counterpart more accuately) on a Lightning costume or any costume for Aranea if she became a full member

Yes, there were already reports of certain characters' unused data in the game but also that Square Enix openly plans to add more characters. One of the big disappointments of this game is the severe underuse of great additional guest members. Even of ones that are actually already in the game. The problem is though: They would have to completely rewrite all character interactions and smaller cutscenes. And there are so many of them in this game. All the chatter that is going on all the time... That would be so much work. o__O Even just for a single additional character.
Let's see how they will achieve that...and when. I do think FFXV is meant to be a service, that they will build upon for many months, if not years.
I'm in a similar position as Grunt actually. I have not been playing the game much after finishing the story. I know there is still so much out there. And I did rush it a little after a certain point in the story. The game does however rush you. You feel like everything is falling apart and you have to get on, even though you could still dawdle around if you wanted to.
I'm planning a completely new playthrough in which I intend to explore so much more. I didn't even visit one single additional dungeon and I never got the flying car. Of the about 200 side quests I barely did 20. And of the almost unlimited hunts I did like 2 or 3. XD
But for all that I am going to wait for at least one more patch...maybe even for the story update that they are planning. You've heard that they plan to fix some plotholes, right? For example regarding Ravus. Also such an underused character... He imo too could have been a cool guest member. The sort of frenemy that you have to work with for while, for your own survival and his sister's sake... But I am getting into spoiler territory... :X

This is neat!! I'm wondering how you make this happen. Aranea joined me a few times during battles against Daemons, though once I was in a hurry, I escaped that battle and Aranea was still following me. Perhaps this has to do something with it? Anyways, after that happened, I rejoined the battle cause I said to myself "There's not way she's gonna stay, isn't it"?
I'm kinda interested in making her joining my party, but is there a way (that you know) to make her leave once she's "glitched"?

Lol @Nikotsumi you reminded me no ones talked about Sania at all! XD She's actually really cool I thought she was funny!
Also unlike others I kept on doing all the side quests that appeared before I moved on with the main story and explored like crazy finding lots of things.

I'm really excited for the idea of Arenea and Iris becoming party members especially if they have lots of extra dialogue and and scenes and also lots of dlc outfits.
I chose the exact same photo of all the guys in Cape Caem. But later I did kinda regret that and I wished I had chosen the photo of them posing in front of the Regalia, because that is basically how everything began and it was the best part of the story/the game. Just the boys and the car.

Btw, I just did two side quests that involved Noctis doing that "ultimate" pose LOL.
There's also a side quest with Ignis without his glasses....
because a black chocobo stole them, it was hilarious xD

At least we finally know now how he got it, Even if it's from another source.
I'm now 83+ hours into the game and have every party member at 99 lv! right now I'm just running around trying to get Gladios survival level up to 10 since its at 9 right now. Once I've done that I'll get the trophy for that which is the last trophy I need and then I'll get the platinum trophy and then I'll have platnium'd this game!
