Lol even i barely get them smooth. Smooth gifs are a luxury that we must savour.

I'm so proud of you! :D Now on to Xenoblade Chronicles!

Lol thanks! :) And trust me at some point now that I'm a fan of jrpg's I definitely want to go through and play a bunch of the good ones that aren't FF ones.

I have quite a few on my mind but when I get around to finding and playing them I'll try to play thst one first!

I suggest Star Ocean 4 and Eternal Sonata if you have a PS3. Megadimension Neptunia on PS4 was pretty good and that goes on sale digital for $5 like every few weeks (I paid $60 for it (': )

Yeah I've heard quite a lot about those series and I know a new Star Ocean game comes out soon. And I've heard a few things about Neptunia as well. I might check out the new Star Ocean.

A new Star Ocean!? Where. SO5 was the last one (PS4). There's another?

Eternal Sonata was pretty average. I'd get that for $3 if you get a chance. Developers even admit that they rushed that game and was a means for future projects test.

Good stuff on the platinum. Had it platinum'd two days ago and SUPER GLAD there wasn't a "Get all Ascension abilities" trophy. Would take awhile for all those abilities.

Responding to you in a bit Nikotsumi, typing on mobile is terrible.

Lol yeah I looked it up and saw that It has already came out back in June/July, I was looking at the wikia that the games take place in the same universe but some on different planets, I like the art style so far and I lol'd when In the past people compared it too the dark crystal because I love that movie. I remember I played the Eternal Sonata demo years ago and thought It was okay but I'm not sure.

@Jadeinchains
A physical copy of the og Xenoblade is pretty rare, and you need a Wii.
You can dl a digital copy on the Wii U e-shop.

Yeah I'll have to keep an eye out If I want a physical copy I wouldn't mind getting it digitally though but I'll look out for it physically.

Thanks! :) And that's cool that you have it platinum'd too! It was pretty hard at the end there with the certain post game boss you have to fight and how long it takes to make any progress with Gladio's skill but I'm happy I've done it now, And yeah while I was doing it I was thinking about how they could have added trophies that would have taken so much time to get so I'm happy they made it achievable. Also getting everyone to level 99 was really great too.

I played Eternal Sonata back then when it was an Xbox360 exclusive. It was very pretty and whimsical and the music was great but the game was also kinda boring, short and very linear. :/

It was a game that was made for test on new resources and high reference to historical+classical music (Chopin I believe). Hiroya Hatsushiba and Shinji Noguchi even admitted to it on that Gamespot interview when the PS3 version release was announced because people expected Eternal Sonata to have 100+ more content than the 360 version back in 2008. However it's 2016 going to 2017 soon, whatever resource test they wanted to try out must of been done ages ago and upgraded for other games. I finished the game off the bat and I already knew the game felt the lack of RPG innovation.

Even the battle system by Tri-Crescendo felt they could of done a bit better but didn't put all their effort into it because they had other stuff to do. Can't exactly blame them when it was a test. Not a bad game, but you just know the game wasn't in deep spirit. (Thumbs up on the historical idea, but really...that's about it on deep concept here. Good reviews but that was around the time of having RPGs since PS3 and 360 was lacking, so of course it had positive reviews. Systems needed role playing games.)

This is neat!! I'm wondering how you make this happen. Aranea joined me a few times during battles against Daemons, though once I was in a hurry, I escaped that battle and Aranea was still following me. Perhaps this has to do something with it? Anyways, after that happened, I rejoined the battle cause I said to myself "There's not way she's gonna stay, isn't it"?
I'm kinda interested in making her joining my party, but is there a way (that you know) to make her leave once she's "glitched"?

Sure thing. At the moment I haven't encountered any red flags on how far this glitch will take you, but it seems to not cause any harm so far. However still unknown since I haven't tested everything. (Red flags is basically points of programming on how far the game will take you for holding a glitch or having something that you are not suppose to have yet and taking it early in the game, so far I haven't encountered any.) If you want to be safe from the unknown I suggest saving it on a different file spot for back up and to ensure your main file is safe. Like mentioned before, it seems to be of no threat, but just to be on the safe side...I'd make another file like I did.

Here we go, this is what I did since I took advantage of the game's HUD menu free roam and the camp site.

1) You need to find a spot that has a camp site and near an open field for monsters to spawn. It has to be within the night. Red Giants, Iron Giants etc etc.

2) You need to encounter one or summon one with a whistle near the camp site but not too close. Getting too close will not trigger any monsters so nothing will happen. You want to be on the right range from the monster's red circle and the camp to run to.

3) Now here comes the hard part, you'd have to trigger Aranea to appear on her red ship which is random, and you have to look up at the sky on all sides to know where she's coming from to run immediately to the camp. If you see her red ship, immediately run to the camp and talk to the camp before she hops off. (Literally before the cutscene even appears.)

4) Now you are rested and eating at camp. Exit out of that.

5) If she pops up on screen in the morning you got her. Save it on a different file and reload your game.

Well, that's it really.

Beat the story and Noctis has redeemed himself in my eyes.
Currently running around in the Pitioss Dungeon. The puzzles and platforming aren't hard, it's the games movement and dealing with that movement that is the hardest part of this dungeon. It's incredibly annoying when you jump onto a platform and Noctis takes a step forward to land and he walks right off a cliff. Changing directions on the small pathways is a nightmare too because you flick the controller to adjust his angle (because he likes to run in a circle before going in the direction you want him to when moving at all) and he walks off edges. That is how I've gotten 90% of my area restarts.

Final boss was kind of a disappointment, was expecting more out of it.

I don't understand the hate for Chapter 13's difficulty, it really wasn't that hard. I have yet to change my difficulty from Normal. Story spoilers below.
It wasn't hard, the ring has an instant area kill against most enemies you encounter, you have a damaging dodge, and once you get the Blade of the Father the chapter becomes infinitely easier. The Ravus fight is a joke and the only thing worth really talking about is how Ardyn tricks Noctis into thinking he found Prompto during the zombie axeman scene. I started the chapter off going stealthy but eventually abandoned that because it was easier to engage enemies and use the aoe displacement to end fights immediately. If anything it did a bad job at introducing that Prompto isn't who he seems to be and ends that revelation ends immediately after deactivating that device that limits Noctis' powers which is something that really irked me. It almost felt that him saying he swiped some passcodes from Ardyn would have been better than "I'm actually some kind of deamon. Can we still be friends?"
The ending was pretty good but I really think Ardyn as the final big bad should have been fleshed out more. "I'm actually an immortal guy who is descended from the Lucis line and hate everybody and everything" was a really poor way to end chapter 13 and it felt really rushed that he became the final boss. I was expecting another stage to the fight after the Armiger segment, not "aaaaaaaand the fight is over." Wherever he got the name "Izunia" is also unexplained, as he said himself "And who do you think was Izunia?" or something along those lines. Is that the man who would take all the deamons in from his story or some freind of his from the past?
Leaving it up to DLC to add more story where it should have been in the first place is kinda annoying. There are so many holes all over the plot and character developments that you shouldn't have to resort to outside information and developers continuously updating lore on social media to tell the parts of the stroy you want to know.
I enjoyed it but the lack of details on so many things was pretty awful.

I'm ready to go get the last Royal Arm I'm missing, obtain Legendary Weapons, and get to some high level questing. Looking forward to taking down some of the end game bosses and dungeons.

NOTE: Don't read spoilers if you haven't seen the ending!

OK, I've actually seen the ending for myself for real this time, and here's my thoughts on it...

As much as I liked the ending and all, I can't help but be confused about what happened in both post-credits scenes. Shouldn't everyone technically be dead? And if so, why is it implied that Leonardo and Lotus Blossom (Noctis and Luna for reference) somehow survived, but the other turtles didn't?

Also, I think the time skip was a deliberate marketing ploy for DLC story expansion. They could've easily avoided this time-skip element and stop Shredhead (Ardyn) then and there. Strange that this time-skip didn't happen in Kingsglaive when the ring was used by someone "worthy".

Anyway, just watch. In two years time, we'll be seeing not one, but two entirely different story campaigns with two sets of secondary characters each. One of them will definitely involve Karai, Bebop, and Rocksteady, guaranteed (Aranea, Biggs, and Wedge for reference). The other might focus on Casey Jones (Cor Leonis for reference), but as yet, I dunno what party members will be involved with him, nor what period of time his story campaign might take place.

Nyx wasn't considered worthy, it was Regis who convinced the Old Kings to allow him to use the ring and use of the ring was limited to "until dawn" so it kinda makes sense form that standpoint. Noctis had to absorb the Crystal's power into the ring which could be part of the time skip but ultimately it was unnecessary. The game just leaves too many opening for lore consideration.

Even 4? I've heard all the bad stuff about 5 but not overwhelming negativity about 4.

Idk I played it with one of my best friends back then and perhaps that upped the enjoyment of it for me, I liked it. I liked the premise, the artstyle, the graphics, the character designs, and the battle system. I guess the story could have been better and that friggin maze dungeon with the raised narrow paths and water mechanisms was a pain to get through but other than those things I liked it. Oh and Salsa was annoying

Despite the iffy reviews, I'd suggest you get Star Ocean 4, it has the best gameplay in the series. The plots in Star Ocean take a backseat 'cause the games focus more on the gameplay and worlds/exploration instead.
Plus, Star Ocean 5 was terrible. I bought it digitally for $60 thinking it would be as enjoyable as Star Ocean 4, boy was I wrong. Skip out on it completely, lol.

Also, what is everyone's thoughts on FFXV? Did it live up to expectations for you or did it leave you disappointed like me? lmfao
I haven't been on here lately so I wouldn't know how everyone feels about it e_e.

SO3 best Star Ocean hands down. SO4 was good too, though few elements from exploration was removed within that. SO5 however, was a lot shorter. It also had new members under Tri-Ace who helped worked the game. See, this is why past games and key members for games usually turn out better. SO5 technically was a worse game than 4 and 3.

As for FFXV, I enjoyed it but I do feel some elements to the game was short lived and less climatic than expected. Still have to give it props.

Personally for me it lived up to and raises above my expectations and I really loved it! :) I'm looking forward to it being supported with more dlc as it goes on. Althoughj obviously there were things that i didn't like or I thought could have went in a better direction for possibly future games set in the world of Eos. Beyonce @Aerospark I'm guessing you have completed the game then?

Also I was gonna try out possible the "Tales of" series the "Hyperdimensional Neptunia" series and the "Star Ocean" series, There's a new Neptunia game in development that seems very fast paced so I think I'll wait for that and the Tales of Besteria ( or zesteria I forgot which one ) comes out next month which looks cool so I might get that. But from what people are saying about SO5 I'm guessing I shouldn't get that one and instead get SO4 or something.

Luna and Noctis are dead as a doornail. ;) What you saw was them in their afterlife. As you might have noticed the game had a strong emphasis on the afterlife or in general realms that existed beyond the mortal realm. It's how this game's universe works. Poor Bahamut living alone in the crystal realm, waiting for thousands of years for Noctis to come by. XD
The scene around the camp fire wasn't in the afterlife but it was a scene that they simply left out in the game. It was the last camp before the four bros entered Insomnia to fight Ardyn.
So, Luna and Noctis are definitely dead but the bros are alive...for now. ;)

Regarding the time skip:
You will actually find out that the upcoming DLC episodes will take place before the time skip. ;)
Gladio's episode will take place when he left the group during the mythril hunt, Ignis episode is him evacuating Altissia's people while Noctis and Leviathan wrecked the city and Prompto's episdode takes place after Noctis pushed him off the train and before he got captured by Ardyn.

My final thoughts about the game:
It is a good game, I liked it a lot more than FFXIII and I think it is again a true Final Fantasy and what modern FFs should look like.
I loved the game world, the characters, the villain, the ending and the music. I liked the combat and I disliked the poorly told story, the cut content in the second half of the game and chapter 13. That one was truly terrible and I can only think that it must have been terrible on purpose. A coincident like that can't really happen.
This game did not feel like a game in development for over 10 years. It felt like one that they actually only worked on for 3 years, since it's rereveal and renaming in 2013. The development process must have been even more troubled and inconsistent than I imagined. The game had incredible potential and some of it's parts truly are outstanding...but rushing it out in 2016 impaired it severely...which is a shame really. :(
