I was watching the direct and heard the FFVII intro music and was like

And immediately thought "oh god is VII getting ported to 3DS now but wouldn't that be funny if that port released before the PS4 one which should have released in spring" and then I saw "super smash bros" and was like "oh :/"

It's neat I guess

Why are wall hits so long to recover from?!?

Anyway, Firion/Frionel got up yesterday.

His magic attacks are so much better now. As in they are worth using.

Looks like he can chain magic from attacks as well (looking at :14). Previously it was one of three weapon options (012) but a preset option in the original. This is pretty awesome.

Seems to be able to chain Arrow from a lot of stuff. That's wicked good.

Is he the most popular character or what?

I think he actually was when they did the big Episode Duscae survey. It was Gladiolus>Noctis>Ignis>>>>>>>Prompto as far as I know. I actually think Prompto is cool and fun. :/

Noctis doesn't think so and wants him dead, lol. XD

Cecil has been damn near remade and retooled. Holy crap.

Paladin looks like his starting class now (hopefully you can get to choose). A newish air brave attack (probably a new version of his old dash Brave attack judging by how he performed it from both above and below his opponent, named "something" Cross)(just noticed that the direction the opponent is hit, up or down, may depend on which direction Cecil hits from or it is possibly a direction you can choose), his old 2 part air strike looks so much cooler and knocks them farther away than before (the 7 combo one, he used to dash around instead of lighting up and near teleporting and he used to hit opponents directly under him in the final attack). Ground game got a bit better, his old ground chaser now has two parts to the command instead of an immediate dash. He kept his projectile but it doesn't stun lock anymore. Luminous Shard. Paladin was primarily the defender/air job of the two, glad to see his ground game did improve as slightly as it is.

Dark Knight has midair multistriking Brave Attacks that end in his dragoon wannabe drop (I think it's called Darkfall?), kept his orb attacks, new dark magic attacks while on ground (:32), new look for his 3 part ground strike, Dark Cannon has been dramatically changed, send out dark magic to make an explosion and no longer draws opponents back to Cecil, longer startup but may appear to have a dark hole effect. I want to say the longer animated attack he used after the one strike at :32 is an HP attack (long startup is my only clue). So much better just in DK mode. Death Bringer is his outro in this video.

EX Skill looks like job change. I wonder if they are removing the ability to change jobs based on ground or air HP attacks and making the way to change that long command. If that is the case it's not a change I'm incredibly happy with.

Overall he seems a lot better with just the inclusion of a better ground attack for Paladin and an even better air attack for Dark Knight without even going in to the other retooled attacks.

Not gonna bother with him. He's been completely reworked.

Gonna guess that the "Jump" he used it either Cecil's (does not really look like that attack though) or confirming Kain.

Not very impressed with that one (then again Terra never really clicked with me, not sure how interested I would be being back line support fire).
