It gets easy real quick exploiting level 5 death with Quina and the dragons outside that one dungeon when you go up the ladder and the moogle's like "NO DON'T." I forget how soon that is.

Tabata today announced there will be apart from English also a full FFXV game localisation (text and voice over) in German:

and in French:
(No video here.)

The game will also be translated (only text and subtitles) into Brazilian Portuguese and into Latin American Spanish.

I don't know if I will be a fan of the German voices, I'd rather play with the original Japanese ones. :/ OMG, if they gave Ignis this British English accent to let him appear snobbier they might give him a Viennese accent in German. XD The accent from Vienna is considered very snobby and posh sounding in German speaking countries.

Edit:
The German and French versions will additionally have the original Japanese voices as well the English voices. That's awesome! :D

Edit 2:
Prompto's Japanese voice actor (Tetsuya Kakihara) might also voice German Prompto as he grew up in Germany and speaks German fluently. That would be awesome, since Prompto's my favorite and Western voice actors hardly get these bubbly characters right.

That's great news for German and French people then who otherwise might not have been able to play it. What language will you be playing the game in now Tyaren?!

Edit: Oops just saw that you'll be playing with Japanese voices!

Yes, I will play it in Japanese. XD (Great news that will be possible!) Except if Prompto's voice actor really voices also the German counterpart. Then I migth give German a try.

But why would we not be able to play it in Germany/France? Every game is translated into at least German, French and Spanish, there's often just no voice over in these languages. The Order 1886 was however fully voiced in German and I had to switch my PS4 to English to bypass that. ;)

Edit:
I just learned German and French voice overs being a first in FFXV isn't true. Final Fantasy XIV already had Japanese, English, German and French voice over. I never played it though...

Oh yeah I forgot that it could be just translated to German while still having Japanese voices!

I'll probably stick to the English voices even though Noctis' voice throws me off every time I hear it. Lucky I have no problems with the rest of the voice actors.

Also!

It's cool that this game it's gonna have some European languages voice overs, it's sad that italian and spanish are still missing though D:
I mean... I probably would never play this game with italian voice over (japanese all the way), but I would like to know how it would sound like xD

They probably chose voice overs for the regions where they hope/expect to sell the most copies of the game. But why for example Spanish, which is spoken by multiple countries around the world, is only in text then escapes me...

What this news shows though, is that they are really putting a lot of effort and money in this game. I really hope it pays off. :)

Sorry for double posting but here's Prompto's Japanese actor in German:

(he speaks German from 0:37 on.)

I think it's a great idea to let him be the voice of German Prompto too, because Western male actors hardly get these bubbly, male Japanese characters right.

Wow he must be getting paid a lot for voice acting the entire game twice! I don't speak German so I can't say if he's good at the language or not but it sounds good. And yeah him voicing it in German will make Prompto more close to what he's supposed to be!

He's actually near perfect in German (only sometimes I do notice a very slight accent though), he even naturally uses the typical German interjections between words/sentences if you have to think for a while. In English that would be "uh..." or "uhm..." in German that's: "äh..." and "mhh..."

Though I have to say that out of all the characters in the English version Prompto's voice actor was imho the best. So you got a good deal too. ;)

Not to mention Freya and her 9999 damage spell.
Well, that takes a little grinding. Still, it's a little absurd that 4 party members get consistent endgame 9999 attacks.

Zidane with maxed Thievery, Freya with maxed Dragon's Crest, Quina with Limit Glove and Steiner with Shock.

The catch is that freyas is super easy to grind. Only need to kill 99 dragons and dragons are in one of the earliest areas. So it becomes kind of a game breaker, except for how you almost never have Freya herself for the first two discs

Again news for Final Fantasy XV!

Famitsu spoke with Tabata and he told them:
- The main story will take 50h to complete.
- They now know how they'll implement airships/airship travel.
- Cactuars are in the game.
- Game isn't stable at 30fps yet, still needs optimizing.

50h without side quests is imho a good length. :) Add sidequests and me just dawdling and sightseeing and that'll be 150h then. XD
I don't know why they are so obsessed with airships... o__O' They mention them each time as if the whole success of the game depended on them...
Yay for cactuars! XD But the framerate really worries me. >__> I commend them for their blunt honesty all the time...but I don't really want to worry all the time too. No offense to Xbone players, but I have the feeling the console will hold the PS4 version back. Duscae ran on PS4 at just 900p resolution and had an unstable 30 framerate, Xbone ran at 700p (which is the absolute minimum you can still call HD) with unstable 30 framerate. That's already pretty bad. >__>' If it was just one console they had to optimize the game for it would be so much easier and efficient.

I completed XIII in about 20 hours so 50 hours sound great for XV. Not to mention I'll be doing every little thing you can do in the game and trying to discover tiny secrets in the cities etc so it should take much longer than that!
I wonder if the airship thing means it will now be in the game at launch or if it will still be free dlc at a latter date?!
And yay Cactuars my favourite creature! Happy to see them in the game even with the more serious tone!

I trust they will get the framerate stable by the time it comes out. I'll be fine with the normal 30 frames anyway.

Lol, I played the Duscae demo longer than you played XIII. XD To me it looked as if you rushed the hell out of all the FFs you played. But XIII did have no sidequests or exploration to speak of. Even Grand Pulse was completely barren...

I know you guys all believe I'm a graphics whore but even I usually don't care much about 30 or 60fps. If there are no significant drops under 30 I'm good. Even Duscae was actually bearable to me.

Lol I know it does look like I rushed through all the ff games I've played its just because I complete games fast. I've actually since gone back and 100% XIII-2 and had 80+ hours in it and I've done the same with all the rest. ( excluding X-2 since it locks you out of sidequests )

I'm actually surprised though that you don't mind games being 30 fps!

50h for the main story is a lot
Yay Cactuars!!!! I hope there will be the giant one too xD

Yeah Gigantuars are cool I hope they include one too!
