Speaking of FFXV, any news on the New Game+ update? Or is it coming literally towards holidays with Holiday Pack?

Prediction? I was hoping this week but that seems far too sketched and early.

No additional news yet. It will have to happen in the next two weeks though to still be considered a December patch. ;)

Even though Hojo was the main reason of the event. If you intend to drop a meteor into the planet and furthering the plans, you are still a villain. Not defending super powerful mommy boy Sephiroth, but on technical standards now he's a villain as well Awesmic.

Here's a great, conclusive read up of FFXV's tragic villain, imo one of the greatest FF ever had, right next to Kefka or Sephiroth. !Obviously big fat spoilers!
http://creditconcerto.blogspot.de/2016/12/the-tragedy-of-ardyn-izunia.html

Had to put the link in spoilers because Ardyn's name is in it. I wish PB and KL would already play and finish the game. XD
That was an interesting read. I agree with the fact that this villain was a really great one.

On another note, I just realised I didn't speak about Lunafreya, here's my thoughts on her.... BIG SPOILERS
Though there's not really much to talk about... probably. First of all, I expected A LOT more from this character since she is the main heroine and they pretty much talked about her really positively..... instead she barely gets screentime and character development, she literally appeared not more than 20-30 minutes and then gets killed off (I liked her when she appeared though). I was disappointed and it's one of the main reason I rushed through the story after chapter 9.
Seriously, what did we learn about her in the game that was not stated before the release of the game? Not so much, just that :
-She was secretely preparing the covenants with the Astrals.
-Cutscene of her healing people infected by Daemons in Tenebrae.
-She suffers from an "illness" (flashback with Ravus).

I was expecting her to die as she had "I'M DEAD" written all over her face, but not so soon. We go through 8 chapters to meet her in Altissia and where we met her, she went away. Cool speech > Leviathan summoning scene > bye bye Lunafreya.
Also, there are things not really clear to me, why did Ardy stab her? To piss Noctis off? To make her not prevent the ascension of the Starscourge (as an Oracle)? Probably both [?] And what did Luna do to Ardyn after stabbing her, which she also did in the ending.... it's almost like she already knew about Ardyn's true nature and tried to "heal" him.
Anyways, She would definitely have died, regardless if Ardyn stabbed her or not, because of her health problems... which can be the result of her preparing the covenants or healing people infected by Deamons, that is the same thing Ardyn did in the past, and like him, it makes her absorb the Deamons within her [?]

When she died I was sad, but not for her as a character (since we barely knew her), because I really wanted to see more of her character, and because of Noctis' reaction. Though I have to admit the scene in which she gives Noctis the ring was really well done in transmitting feelings, it managed to get my eyes watery, most beautiful scene in the game imo.

^ GameFaqs was throwing a fit about that too actually. Can't blame you there.

For the first time towards GameFaqs shallow and gullible topics, I may have to agree on them with this: Nomura over Tabata on past directions. People get far too hyped with things that are "new" and far too much focus on a certain appeal than extending specific screen times for longevity or explanations. Reinventing the classical wheel of good fortune has a higher chance to be a positive note rather than a random one.

I swear, still trying to figure out immensely on why things in the past are so much better in terms of extreme results that end good. We adapt to all these games and go through it multiple times and still the feeling of wanting these games to surpass the old still does not click oddly enough....they have the resources to do it too, it just does not happen for who knows why. Anyways, I like and enjoyed FFXV a ton, still wouldn't put it above the others from the past though.

Good read, more in spoiler
it really is a shame that this isn't elaborated on more in the ending chapters than all at once. Ardyn overall is probably the best developed character but I would love to have seen more of that development rather than "I'm going to be the big baddie now."

That really was a good read! I thought he was a great villain and I loved the way he acted with the heroes.

There's a few things I'd like them to go into but they are more things in the background like how that city that the main party finally get too in chapter 13 is very modern and full of skyscrapers too like Insomnia and seems to be the capital of the Niflheim empire, But we don't really learn anything about it or its people. Which is even more important because if you read the files in that chapter you find out that daemon's escaped from the lab and are infesting the streets and its people are turning into more!

Then there's also things that hopefully get more fleshed out in Ignis' chapter which is where did the citizens of Altissa go? The city is almost entirely destroyed so unless a large number of them went to other places maybe places we haven't seen in other parts of the world did they go to Lestallum?

@Nikotsumi @XZero264

Skip to the end for a combo that is going to get the nerf hammer by Square. (24:57)

(Overwhelm+Bow of the Clever)

Saw the tweet when I sent it to them which they thought I was a customer in trouble, but really I wasn't. Now this thing will get slapped sadly. Apparently from what I heard they are also working on fixing the Aranea jumping glitch, into permanent party glitch (makes sense), removal of the spawning grind for AP near Three Valleys etc. So for those that will go for the grind of AP do it these days or else that spawn trap will get hit with the legendary Royal Arms Nerf Bat, which only the devs can wield to stop all tricks and abuse.

Even with that said, Mateus was still a better one IMO. Dude was so evil that even in death, hell couldn't sustain his will to rule everything, and thus he conquered it only to arrive back on earth and summon a tornado to wipe out entire multiple villages and the people in them. And if that's not enough, they made an entire novel about him and his bloodline.

It's just a shame that despite how good he was as a villain, the game he's in isn't a highly regarded one, and wasn't further expanded upon in the remakes.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you mean "better role" as a villain. Then yes, I agree.

It would be great (unknown if it can happen) if they can improve team AI. There been so many cases of AI not properly dodging and acts situation where they'll sit there and respond late with actions.

- Ignis for example, has a tendency to analyze an enemy he already scanned within that same battle. As well as the issue of trying to scan non-scannable Daemons constantly. (Igniz plz, if the enemy can't be scanned, why try 6-7 times lol.)

- Gladio has a tendecy to make one giant swing and then performing taunts with long animation and recovery time right after. (Seriously, these stuff has to be reduced for cooperation via gameplays. Come on Gladio, the enemy is not dead yet, you just got hit out of your taunt and that's what you get.)

- Prompto's link strike/blindsides attack have bad alignment for targeting causing it to whiff and miss against certain enemies. (Others have this similar problem.) Also added animation of falling down often and tripping, making AI dodging out of recovery difficult. Come now, this is not necessary.

While the game is manageable to a high degree without these issues, it's still a hassle having to revive these allies from AI mistakes only to have them be in danger status again because Ignis has issues dodging an attack due to constantly scanning an enemy that can't be scanned.

Have to agree with everything here... :/
Well, at least Gentiana positively surprised me. I liked her before because of her design...but she is awesome in the story as well. :)

Also added animation of falling down often and tripping, making AI dodging out of recovery difficult. Come now, this is not necessary.

You forgot Prompto actually whipping out his camera during battle taking a few pics. (I think he's at least invincible during that time.) When I saw if for the first time I was like. Aww...that is so awes...wait what?! We are in the middle of f****** combat!! D:

On another note, what are your most favorite tracks in the game? These are mine:

(So beautiful...the upbeat section makes exploring so much fun.)

(Doesn't get anymore epic. O: )

(Especially what happened in the very scene this music plays makes it a favorite for me.)

(It fits Noctis imo so well. As Shimomura explained it herself "gentle" and "tragic". :()
