Fingercramp’s Dead or Alive 5 Pre-Play

It's how the general competitive fighting game community sees it. They're told it has no depth, don't look for any depth, complain that it was made "easier", don't bother to follow the tutorials that even show some of the basic changes to the game or even want to see a move list.

Expect a lot more videos and articles like it in the future once the game releases.

There's definitely some ignorance in this video, but they also clearly state they don't really know the game.

That said, a lot of what they said is correct. The Alpha Demo is not tournament-worthy. You can still counter more often than not. The counter windows are still too large. Bottom line, it's not as bad as DOA4, but it's still a long way from being good. I don't know why you guys are too blind to see that.

Now the final version could easily be tournament-worthy. It wouldn't take that much to turn the demo into something solid. If that happens, you won't see videos like these because the game will speak for itself.

There's a 30 page thread with the people on this forum saying exactly this.

I can tell you right now that the final game will be far different from the alpha build.

I've noticed numberous times where you do not argue or complain about anything going on in a thread and you just completely stay positive with your head held high and say for us to not worry and wait for the final outcome.

SOMETHING tells me that you know something that noone else knows. Something tells me that you're being alittle sneaky snake and chattin' it up with Team NINJA directly. Something tells me that when Sorwah says something like this, that he ain't bullsh/ttin'.

I have submitted no other feedback than what I have personally submitted on the DOA5 alpha survey website, and the feedback sent to them from our "Ask Team NINJA" thread.

I think he's just trying to create a contrast by being the least negative person on here.

Ok we all know the demo is not a tournament ready game. We have stated this DrDogg in the other thread but you seem to think by people saying it's a step in the right direction that it is tournament ready. That's not the case at all we are all there with you though everyone has different opinions on what is needed in the game.

The game in it's current build is fine considering it's the alpha stage. If they add legit ways to get limbo stuns and actually make the wall game retarded brutal the game would be in good shape.

People hate the fact that you can counter so much in the game. Well now counters do like 10% of your health while attacks do more damage and you still can throw for even greater damage.

Most stuns are SE-able except for the SS attack stun and a few of the deeper stuns as well as limbo stuns. The damage is there as long as people aren't playing it like it's DoA 4.

That review those two did was exactly what any SF/MvC scrub would do and complain about. In MvC would just do stuff and complain about XFC or Ultra's.

You can't mash and cast judgment especially if you don't even play 3d games. Nothing they said was true outside the game not being tournament ready. They didn't use have the tools in the DEMO that get around the counter system let alone the combos that lead to huge damage.

From the time I played the demo I had already found that countering was toned down and was a pretty risky option in general because of the way they had the damage going. With that being said I still want to see counters nerfed even harder to force people to not even want to be put in that situation.

We like to call that, "Doing the Morris".
Except that he's not blind to the issues like some people, Wah's just being polite about them. Heck, most of the positive changes we have seen in the demo are a direct result of Wah's input via email, even down to the button config. Wah's just being tactful about his input and just delivering it in a more polite manner. Putting him on the same field as Morris is insulting.

I'm not seeing much of this, but it really doesn't matter at this point. We'll find out pretty soon here if DOA5 is heading in the right direction.

It was a joke... >_>

Yea we will find out soon enough. Here's the good:

-Toned down counters
-Added SS (though it is weak)
-Small frame advantage
-Wake up kicks toned down

There is probably some other stuff but I can't think of it right now lol. With that being said though they are trying it's still not pushing it to that edge like it should to make it strong but they have plenty of time to fix this stuff.

They've even said that the alpha demo doesn't have all of the features and system changes they plan on making to the game.

The suspense is killing me. When in the hell when TN have more info regarding this game? Ninja Gaiden 3 is finished what's more for them to do? They say they have an announcement by the end of March and nothing has happened yet. Geez way to troll TN.
