I think battle damage would be cool. Similar to injustice. Noticeable wounds and torn clothing, but not mortal kombat statues with eyeballs falling out.

i always liked "Battle damage" in games, but..I dunno. If you do any more than bruises and blood, then you really start to question why the opponent can get up again at all once Leon/Bayman/Mila get ahold of them, even once.

I think it should be limited to clothing damage, like the dust and sweat.

A broken nose is a step down from a broken limb or neck in a fight though. I don't recall anyone being unable to continue a fight over a broken nose.
