I heard there was a patch just released does anyone notice any changes?

Some characters may have changed after the patch. If anything, it was due to balance testing while the game was being pressed.

I do not know to what extent were the changes but I heard La Mariposa had some. I haven't tried the new patch myself though.

A 10kb patch can both fix a game and kill a game. Fighting games are all done through values, and values do not take much memory.

Software development is an ongoing thing and patches don't necessarily mean anything bad. The final build before release had to draw a line somewhere and the time from then until now I'm sure there has been new developments based off their ongoing testing and observations. Not to mention it very well could be something as simple as DLC. Either way, I'd rather have them on top of things than just letting the shit fly in the wind.

Err you people are looking at this 'character patch' the wrong way. This is like TN just changing the build from E3 to Gamescom say. They had character changes then but you just see it is as a developing game. A day 1 patch like this just means that they HAD to get the game to retailers at a certain date, but there were still changes they wanted to make. Just see it as another pre-release build update and its fine.

The real trouble with patches is after the game is released and people get used to the game; then patches become rather tedious to everybody.

Im scared of patches.

Patches can bring new problems into the fold if not tested properly case in point the rolento glitch that freezed SFxT matches. More than anything id really like to know what the patch actually did.

Played some guy from Spain, it was a little laggy. Playable, but laggy.

I'm from NorCal so I hope it plays better with people from my same country.
Didn't play pre-patch so I can't comment if it is an improvement.

I'll say though for Cali to Spain play shit wasn't bad.
