had to leave who got out of the second pool?
thanks should of fig, It would be nice to actual see more DOA players there. It makes me wonder if all the IPL tournaments are going to be run like this one. In places were the not so famous people can get in. I also get the feeling that the way the pools were setup that only sWooZie, Vanessa, Master & Chosen1 are in the finals. Ill be using my money for EVO and comic con so wont have any other cash to travel. But a list of other places they plan to be would be niceVanessa
While I agree with everything you said, they do make the commentators ask each other(that would normally be dumb questions to us) dumb questions for the audience whom is new or hasn't been around for a while. Also the moves that she kept saying were PB usually were the PB's just they aren't activated yet because of the health the person was at.Rikuto is doing a damn fine job on commentary; especially in light of the bullshit he has to put up with right next to him. Seriously, nearly every time she opens her mouth it's her not understanding something, calling yet another normal move a power blow, touting the fact that she has tits and is a gamer and loves similar people, butchering her native language (Estatic? Volumptuous? Try 'ecstatic' and 'voluptuous.'), or subtly insulting Erik. Also, her incessant need to point out that she was once paid to play DoA and talk about her rivalries and camaraderie with CGS or WCG people is unbelievably annoying. I could say more but I'll save it for non-public discussion.
Rikuto, you're a god among men for not stuffing a sock in her mouth, rolling your eyes, or just telling her to shut the fuck up. Seriously impressive restraint. Most people don't have to put up with a stooge when they're shoutcasting. Bravo. I applaud you.
Dear Kat: stop correcting Rikuto, interrupting him, laughing at things you don't understand, calling every move with knockback properties a power blow, and...you know what? Stop talking.
I noticed Ayane got her command throw back, but it was escaped.
Is it the old version or did Team Ninja forget to congratulate me . . .![]()
I saw Wedge do that throw but it seemed like she didn't know what to input next. There was a bit of delay before the opponent escaped.
1k times this. At first I could cope with all of those things you mention, but then there were moments I wished Rikuto pull some Bayman grapples on her to shut her up. Well, that would be too much, lol. So yeah, I say this again: Rikuto did an AWESOME job.Rikuto is doing a damn fine job on commentary; especially in light of the bullshit he has to put up with right next to him. I wouldn't be quite as critical of Kat, but I agree the moments when Rikuto gets the chance to lay down some gameplay analysis it's been quite good.
There's a little bit of conversational commentary but it can be difficult especially if the two people don't have complimentary styles, and I think its difficult with Kat not throwing open gameplay questions.
I reckon if Rikuto pushes a bit more on the situational commentary, analysing the game state and what players could do, and what they must be thinking/aiming at, Kat will probably catch on a little better and provide colour.
They've done okay with the jokey stuff here and there but its a little awkward... maybe they just need to talk faster and get hyped up.
None of the players are particularly good because most of them aren't proper DOA players, just general gaming press and a handful of others that are attending E3. Despite that level of play there was an okay Tina player that hit an Akira player withDoes anybody know if she's got her ground throw setups as well?

The most annoying part I had with her commentary was the phrase "It's anybody's game".
I noticed most of the players were not very good and didn't use most of the core mechanics in the game like holds, punishing, sidestepping and juggling. Hell, even Swoozie failed to punish and correctly juggle a bunch of things with his Kasumi. But I'm just too happy about how the game is shaping up, I love it.
