That Kat is so funny. I wish I could find a girl like her around here where I live. All the girls here are either jail-bait or walking diseases. :<

I'll trade locations.

A "weirdo" like me should feel right at home.

So I missed half the Bass talk, but I've heard his qcfP is still shit. See, I would've told Shimbori to just make him SS much further or just replace it with the 3.1/3.2 version with the +8 frame advantage because it's high and it would make sense for a high move to have more frame advantage.

You apparently didn't stick around. It DOES give you +8 advantage again - Rikuto and DrDogg were very quick to point that out.

That wasn't a terribly interesting way to end things, but the production was top-notch all things considered. Good job on running the brackets, DrDogg. The stream kept me from getting too bored during down time at work so I thank everyone involved.

He clearly mentioned that he missed half of the discussion. =P

The fact that Bass' attack still didn't evade anything was said at the beginning of their discussion. If UK left still thinking it was terrible then he couldn't have stuck around to hear how it'd been buffed to be +8 on block again.

Sorry if I got too bored, but Tekken Busters was on so I just changed channels.

What I was trying to say was to bring back the old qcf P and give it the same frame advantage.

I guess I didn't quite get my point across at first.

edit: Also, it doesn't sound very advantageous considering that it had a slow start-up and wasn't a very practical move. Most people can just jab and elbow you out of it.

edit2: also I wished this worked for me, because I had an idea for pin badges but I can't use any email address.

I need to go back and watch the stream. I was having so much fun playing the DOA5 demo that I only saw the second half of the tournament. I couldn't stop playing. I wish it was September already. I love Kasumi's teleports but I was having trouble doing them in combos because I was still used to doing my DOA4 combos. Her :F::+::P: in Hoshinpo is an offensive hold and she has a command to go directly into Hoshinpo. A lot of her moves have different commands. I pulled off the critical burst a few times. And Kokoro feels so much better. She has a lot of moves that cause the sit down stun and she got a few more sabakis. She can do one after her first low kick :2::F::+::K: and follow it up with a punch. Her throw from :P::P::F::+::P: can also be down with :2::3::6::F::+::P: and she can do a punch right after that I think is guaranteed (she might have a few more options). There were a lot of changes but I can't remember them all. I got to play a few people who were pretty good and I got a few matches with Manny. It was cool seeing everyone again. I hadn't seen Swoozie and Morris since the last E3 I went to (2005 when DOA5 was about to be released). And it was cool chatting with Rikuto, DrDogg, and BlackMamba.

I thought they were supposed to be showing off some new DOA5 elements on the third day? I only see a finals video on twitchtv, not even the director's challenge (or maybe it's at the end of it?)

I'm still excited about DOA5 so I want to talk about it some more hahaha.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but you can side step during some block strings. The guy I was playing said that you can do it during some of Ryu's strings and while watching the stream, I saw Vanessa do it after the first hit in Kasumi's :6::6::K::K:.

Changes for Kasumi that I noticed:

:6::6::K: is not the trip kick but now the two kicks that cause the sit down stun. Same as while running :K::K:. The trip kick is :6::6::F::+::K: I believe.
:6::P: is back to how it was in DOA3/2 where she does the mid punch elbow. The new command for the poke is :4::P:
She can teleport after :7::K: only on hit. On hit, :P::+::K: will do her downward slash from the air. :6::P::+::K: will teleport her into Hoshinp and you can do the same attacks as before :K::K:, :P:, or :F::+::P:. She can also teleport after :9::P::K:
:6::6::P: doesn't knock back anymore and you do another :P: where she spins around and then you can press :6::P::+::K: to teleport into Hoshinpo.
:3::3::F::+::P: is the throw from DOAD/DOA3 and I believe it's an offense Hold.
:6::6::F::+::P: does her handstand and :F::+::P: teleports her behind the opponent. :8::K: isn't guaranteed (computer got out of it) but I was able to get :P::P::P::P: and you can probably follow it up with some more stuff.
:4::4::P: does either her hop jab or that jab where she spins around first before jabbing.
You can't do her knees anymore with :3::3::K:. Only after :4::P: or during Hoshinpo. :3::3::K: is back to how it was in DOA2/3. Still pushes the opponent away but works much better by a wall.

Edit:

And :2::2: does the sidestep as well as :2::h::+::P::+::K:. I kept getting the sidestep every now and then as I moved around the stage.

And her sidestep punch is her :P::+::K:. Launches on counterhit. You can't go into Hoshinpo. I forgot what the kick was.

There is no button to press when knocking an opponent into a car during a power blow. You have to hold up and the car will turn from what to yellow and then you'll be able to knock them into it. It's a little tricky and that's why I think people haven't been doing it so much on stream. If you just press up, the screen will go back down and you'll miss the car.

That's everything I can think off.

Had a great time checking out DoA5. Always loved watching it at the WCG events and during CGS, but never once played DoA. Thanks for throwing the tournament, hopefully you weren't all sick of seeing me each day!

Yep. Mad respect goes out to all who was involved and Tecmo Keoi for the Community Support. DOA is very much "Alive", in high hopes of big turnouts in Tournaments.
