I'm getting a console just for this game, should I get a 360 or a PS3?

$200 for Xbox with no HDD, and $50 for 1 year of Xbox live vs $250 for a PS3 with 160GB HDD and $0 forever.

I wouldn't worry about HDD either if it didn't have any games to put on it. Really. There's games? And more than 4GB worth of 'em? Halo 4 requires 8GB to play online? Batteries required for controllers? Whoa. Foolishness? You don't say.

The only problem I have with your posts, subtle jabs aside, is that nearly everything you mentioned was opinion. I was having fun with you, but if you're going to continue to just post opinions as facts, be my guest..

Oh. What? That's it? Well really I didn't expect much anyways from a simple core gamer. I could give a shit less about what you "prefer" which by the way I easily deduced quickly that was the sole reason behind your response. The question was about platform and everything I stated is fact and current. Why would I actually waste time here and state that which has already occured and is also current. I mean seriously. Have you actually made any real attempt to see if what I stated was false even? A rebuttal? An answer? Something (laughs). Try Google kuzo. "Fanboy". "Avatars". "Gifs" "Opinion". Typical responses that simply means "Well I got nothing". The poster is grown and can make that choice himself in the end. It's simple. Either get a fraud PlayStation. Or a real one. Hint. The real one is actually right now at TGS 2012 with games and has the PS logo on it. (This didn't even take a minute).

You go 'head and "ignore" me. Whatever fuck that means. However ignore is just short for ignorance.

All i know is that PS3 version will have better competition simply for the fact that is where i'll be playing...nothing else matters

Both consoles will be great for DoA. If DoA is the only thing you are looking at, I guess buy whichever you can get cheaper. This tends to be xbox, but ps3 sticks seem a bit easier to come by. Just buy whichever one you like more.

You guys are here for Doa, not for a particular console. Simply do some research and pick the console for you. No matter what, we will all be playing Doa5

Sounds like you're building yourself a DOA5 arcade machine. Nice. :)
You can install the entire disk to the HDD on 360. That may reduce noise and speed up load times. Then again, you can get the game digitally on PSN <sooner>. Same results.
Currently, both machines have similar reliability records, and cost doesn't seem to be an issue, so it seems pretty obvious that there is no conclusive answer to your question yet.
Kudos to all the non-fanboys. ;)
