I mean..I NEVER saw anyone using Helena or Tina in the older games. Now, that's mostly what I see.

Same goes for Christie and Kokoro, though to a lesser extent.

Helena was pretty common in DOA4. Of course you had to go through shit to unlock her.

It means more characters are being selected. Which is a good thing. No character is too common from what I've seen.

Well like...14 ranked matches in a row, right now, all different people, all Helenas. (All doing the same patterns, ODDLY ENOUGH...)

Also, in previous DOAs, I saw Kasumi a lot...here, i've seen her a total of like...3 times.

There are plenty of DOA5 Kasumis and there were plenty of DOA4 Tinas & Helenas.

Kokoro jumped up a mile in terms of tier placement, which explains the discrepancy in her popularity.

Yeah Lisa players were pretty non existent in DOA4. Her small move list really hurt her with a lack of mix ups. She is much much better in 5. Only a very few people including me used her.
