I have little Hayate, and Im going to pick up Ein. So with your Ryu, Lisa, Leon, you have an Ayane too?Can't have a tag team with two of the same character, sadly ('cept Ein and Hayate, lol).
But we'll work out some sick stuff for some co-op tag action.
God I feel the kickassing already XD.
Ein with Ryu? or Ryu with Leon? Ryu and Lisa? God there are so many possablities e-e

You pick his Lisa over mine?!?! I see how it is...... Lol. We should also do a Tina an Ryu tag too, instead of just Ryu and Helena. Tina and Ryu tag throw is great, she's throws the person and he Izunas, it's great

Yeah. I intend to pick-up Leon seriously, much in the way I do with Ryu (ie: memorize all of his frame data, all combos, max damage options, multiple CB set-ups, yomi baits, etc.). I use Lisa and Ayane fairly, but I don't have them solid as Ryu (or plan on doing with Leon).
On occasion I'll also use Rig, Tina, Akira and Lei Fang. Now that Gen Fu's getting some nerfs and his old awesome music back, I may add him to that line-up as well.
Technically I also have Pai, Jann Lee, Christie and Alpha in my "set," but I don't really like using them that much. I may look at using Pai more now that she has the new hairstyle, though.
Can't say anything about the new characters yet.

Ok Brute and Hadez this is hella random but what if Lisa and Ryu had a tag throw with Deja Vu and Izuna in one. I has no idea what it'll look like but that would be great. Maybe she can do the Deja Vu and before the opponent hits the ground Ryu quickly does the Izuna. Is that over exaggerated? Lol

Deja Vu. At the end when the flips them with her legs, Ryu comes in with a horizontal Izuna (like Tina's tag throw). It's overkill, and it's awesome. I'd also love to see her crouching OH knock someone into the air like it does to have Ryu jump in with an Izuna finish.
I'd be game.
edit: I forgot to mention Kasumi used to be in my set, so I can use her competently as well. (traded her for Akira)

Aw Aka don't be like that. I haven't actually seen his Lisa but I remember him telling me he had one, his a great player so I assume his Lisa is also great. Though don't worry Aka I promised didn't I? Ryu and Lisa our tag team and Ryu with your Helena, lets go!

I feel you. In DOA5 when I first started I picked up Eliot as my main to find out I was doing horrible. I kept button mashing like crazy and I thought I was badass lol. I then moved to Rig and button smashed the K button like a boss! I remember picking Ryu because I was in this room right, and I was so mad. Everything I tried didn't work and I couldn't win any game, but this guy came up and used Ryu and I never actually saw Ryu before. I fell inlove with his fighting style and I picked him up for 1 week and I couldn't stop winning XD. (I kept beating all the noobs LOL). Thats how I met Ryu.
Though this year im going to finally secdonary someone, I use Hayate for fun (I still will but not alot) but Ein will defintely become my secondary. I saw his powerblow and instantly I knew he would be a great addition to my team, his one hit powerblow will be AWSOME.

I was first enamored with him when I played the DOA2 demo on Dreamcast. The only playable characters were Kasumi, Ayane and Ein, but Kasumi got to fight Ryu in an epic encounter. When I saw him use Izunas I was like: "Damn, that's one cool mofo. I can't wait to play him." So naturally when i got the full game I instantly hopped over to Ryu.
Then somewhere down the line Ninja Gaiden came out, and it's really, REALLY hard not to think Hayabusa is the coolest mother-fucker of all time after playing the first two games.
Ein's awesome. You'll have fun with him.

Well Hadez I must say. You have grown a lot from now and when I met you. When I met you I was like "oh gawd, another Ryu retard" but over the time I have seen a better player each time. But nothing was better than when I saved you from getting destroyed by ballr lol. Ball was thinking he was great so I stepped in. I was just spectating and I felt sorry. And me helping you changed my attitude towards DOA. It was nice to meet you

True Aka's Lisa is incredible. Though I'm sure you can do it when you put your mind to it, I give anyone alot of respect if they can play so many characters. Thats a really cool feature.
Actually we should create a thread about how you find out about your main character. That would be an interesting story to hear from everyone.
Thank you Aka ! I know I came a long way but I'm not perfect yet. I remember falling behind you and Ballr and pok and I felt so sorry for myself because I felt like the weak link. But me and Tekemo (have you fought Teke lately? He's getting amazing with Kasumi its not even funny) have grown so much with your help, all I have to say is thank you too. Well we are all equal my good friend. Well probably Pok is better than us (That damn Christie) he is dangerous lol. Buy yea you have improved a lot my great friend. But in 5U, not only will I use Sarah but I will also use Jacky just to annoy Brute with the cheapness XD
Good news and bad news.
Good news: Izuna's are wicked good in 5U! Certain environmental factors make them absolutely insane.
Bad news: Certain environments actually "nerf" the Izuna, even moreso than before.
Damage bonuses seem more consistent across NH and HiC now, but ceilings provide a lot of weird and unfortunate Izuna nerfs. Most are probably used to canceling into the Shoho with ceilings anyway, but it would have been nice if actually finishing the Izuna throw were of some use.
But despite this sadness, we have been blessed with cliffs! Along with Ryu's old war scream back, we also see that they fixed the HiC Izuna issue on Ends of the Earth. The real gold comes into play with the new Lost World stage.
