Imo it's actually the opposite case: Phase 4 is already presented in DoA5 as a sympathtetic character contrarily to the previous clones that we know so far (Alpha, Alpha-152, DoA5 Boss... the only exception was Fake Kasumi): as I said more times in my book this is already a strong hint foreshadowing her future alliance with the shinobi and just with the same Kasumi. In the fictions happen very often as the main character/someone that apparently everyone would consider the first one to want the death of an enemy, with a plot twist end to be just the more active person to defend it from a summary judgement of death from his current allies (aka Hayate & Ayane in our case). I'm extremely sure that this tag was already thought considering the future interaction of the two characters so to work even for the future game, not putting aside it.
For the same reasoning considering his tag interactions with Lisa and Hayate, I'm starting to think that we could get a real Ein character different from the amnesyac Hayate in DoA6, but rather a clone of him. Even the scene of Rig starting again the Epsilon project could be seen as a foreshadowing of it.
I'd like to see this being the case. Phase 4 becoming a tragic hero as alluded by the "tragic weapon monikers - "insert self sacrifice moment". Not too sure if Bayman would appreciate having to face the Ninjas to kill Phase 4 though.
