Its just fucked up, someone's main gets banned because people have sour tastes in their mouths...
No, that's not the reason we want her banned. Go look at the arguments we made against her. Counter those arguments.

You bet your ass TN is going to have a number of patches for DLC updates at least. With that, plus the fact that both Sony and Microsoft now don't charge for patches anymore, means that all they have to worry about is the dev costs to make it happen, which they may be able to make back by the DLC sales. Now then, patches are expensive. There is no way TN is going to day one patch a game they just released, especially for this. So then, our option is to ban Alpha now, or wait until DOA is worth 65 dollars at tournaments again, at which point nobody will even care.
Banning her now is the most logical step. If TN decides to address the game later in a patch and she gets worked on, we can open a poll and re-assess the situation.
I still don't see what's so "broken" about her.No, she needs to be banned because she is legitimately broken. Not a single person in this thread who's "defending" her has even given a real counter argument. People maining a boss character should know full well the possibilities of said character being banned.

Tom Brady managed to get that (the Sub-Zero ice glitch in MK9) fixed when the game went gold though... keep in mind, this was just one guy. You, Rikuto, and some others are many with the knowledge of Alpha within your very grasp. Surely you don't doubt they will listen to at least one of you with such rock-solid information, especially if it's this serious.Awesmic, a game goes Gold. This means that the master disc is sent into production so that many copies can be distributed world wide to us. It's safe to say 5U has gone Gold at this point.
Sounds a lot better and more hopeful than "permanent", and within reason given the circumstances.MK is handled by a different studio. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it is VERY unlikely. In the meantime, a temporary ban is what I think needs to happen.

Its funny because I remember a time when I was going to face Julius, and I picked Alpha (Vanilla) and he quit. And then everybody congratulated me in the lobby. I thought it was a good thing, but I guess not because I felt bad afterwards....
she is a complete low risk/high reward braindead character that should've got the DOA4 tengu treatment and nerfed the shit out of in 5u

Ugh. No one deserves castration of that magnitude. Going to that extreme just changes a character from being absurdly broken/OP to being completely unplayable. Reversing the spectrum completely from one extreme to the other solves nothing, as was evident with Tengu in DOA4. Either no one plays them because they're banned or no one plays them because they are simply unplayable.
If enough high level players feel that Alpha should be banned, then ban her. Then when TN works on a patch to correct this (or rather, IF they do), she should just be given nerfs here and there to address what makes her OP, rather than completely destroying the character to the point where no one will ever use them under any conditions whatsoever.
They way they handled Tengu in DOA4 couldn't have been anymore wrong and it would be no different to apply that to Alpha now.
I realize that you may have been exaggerating when you said that, but whether or not you are, there likely are some players who actually think she should be treated as ludicrously wrong as Tengu was.
On another note, I fail to see why being a boss character has any bearing over whether or not a character should be banned. They're just another character on the roster. Only if they are actually overpowered in some ridiculous way should they be banned. What difference does being the last AI opponent in story mode make?
