Torn Clothing/ SENRAN KAGURA collaborations Details:

DOA may have torn clothing. (From SENRAN maybe?)
SENRAN KAGURA may have DOA costumes.

During Weekly Famitsu Tokyo Game Show Live broadcast today, when asked about the details of the collaboration, Hayashi said "Torn Clothing" while Taka from Marvalous said he wants DOA costume in Senran.

The collaboration talk started one and a half year ago during a meal.

So, while this doesn't discard completely guest characters, at least give a clear evidence of the collaboration (or a part of it) between the 2 series.

As you know I prefer her "Blossom of Miyama" and and her DoA3 C1 to it, however the "Phantom Butterfly" is now an iconic outfit for Ayane and I think should deserve a place in her vestiary.

Hmm, I haven't played the series myself, but I heard about it and they have released several games and an anime. I think it's big in Japan. The style of the game seems very KT to me. So I can see why they would collaborate with it.

I'm always of the mindset that a series shouldn't be too over-reliant on guest characters because it gives off the air that their own characters/game can't hold up on their/its own. But, maybe that's just me.

That's a good point. However, it's not like DOA has added that many guest characters. DOA5 has added 12 characters, including the returning, new and guest. Add the two new characters being placed into LR and that's 14 characters in 1 installment (since ultimate & LR are just iterations of DOA5). Only 4 of those 14 are guests, they stated 1 is being resurrected, so he's not a guest character. The girl, I still am not sure about but even if she is it's only 5 out of 14 which is still not something to be worried about. I'm amazed they're still making more characters... not sure what they're going to do for DOA6 since they're going bananas over new characters for 5.

I know that Blossom of Miyama is already in the game, I was just expressing my preference XD (when I think to Ayane in NG that one is the first outfit that come to my mind).

I considered Phantom Butterfly iconic more for the big popularity that it got being the main one of Ayane when she become playable in the series, however your point is true.

Well not necessarily, the VF characters are an obvious tribute while DoA surely don't need of a guest from Kaguya for increasing its sex-appeal or to come with ideas for new movesets. Personally my preferences are dictated more from my wish to see only characters that can become a definitive part of the roster, rather than guests fated to leave the series in the sequels.

I'm amazed they're still making more characters... not sure what they're going to do for DOA6 since they're going bananas over new characters for 5.

Actually Hayashi even opened the possibility to future DLC characters for 5LR...

By the way DoA5 so far created 4 original designs (Rig, Mila, Marie Rose and Nyotengu) and 4 original movesets from scratch (for Rig, Mila, Marie Rose and Momiji). Far for me thinking that they haven't any ideas for new characters.

No, you are not. I couldn't care less about Irene. We already have a blonde beauty in fetish black outfit from NG series, and she is a demon slyer and half demon herself. What is cooler by far, I would say.

65% already? And yet they only wanted to show one new stage (tease one more), tease two new characters (show neither), show no new intros/outros, only 2 new costumes, no new moves, no discernible system mechanic differences and no discernible balance changes?

That's pretty unsettling, when you start to think about it.

This is what I was afraid of. I figured that if they made a demo of the game that there would be some gameplay differences from DOA5U but Hayashi said that DOA5LR is basically the same game.

I guess it depends on what your expectations were for the game. I was expecting 1 new character and 3 stages in addition to the typical new hairstyles and outfits. So they've already exceeded my expectations. XD And if you consider that the game was originally going to be exclusive to PS4/XB1 and that they decided to include last gen so as not to exclude fans, I was expecting it to be pretty much the same game anyway.

DOA5U's pretty balanced already, and we are getting about 4-5 new stages, 2 new characters and probably some more balance changes that we haven't seen. Only New players were seen playing at TGS, so there could be A TON of new content, waiting to be revealed. TFC is right around the corner.

In terms of TFC. TFC is filled with players who know how to play the game, and want to see the new content like we do, so they will be the guys who will fish out the stuff, rather than the pervs at TGS.

I think the colab with SK might be the formula for the boob physics engine tbh. (Random thought)

Oh come on now. Judging by the current avatar at the time of this post, you like a character that basically looks like a mix of Kurapika and Quatre. Yet you don't see anyone condemning Eliot for that reason.

Yeah, these two characters plus Eliot are also in one and the same anime/manga/game? Having a third blond, big boobed character and a second leather/latex clad fiend hunter from NG (also three, if you count Ryu in XD) is just a little repetitive to me. Eliot was back then a little revolution in DOA by the way. No super manly muscle hunk and no big boobed beauty queen for once.
