Seriously? Wow.

Why are you surprised since when has a blurred pic ever turned out to be real?

mkx isn't bringing anything new to the table for me. (Styles and stage attacks are a novelty gimmick at best that change nothing.)

That's because you haven't been paying attention. MKX has actually greatly changed: run mechanic, floater jumps makes jumping in dangerous, you can throw mid combo/juggle, and you can meter burn that throw for frame advantage.

Then you have all the character changes everyones normals have been changed, then the variations will greatly change how each character is played, and now we have some dedicated grapplers in the game as well. there might be even more after all of that.

Whether or not it will be better remains to be see but it will certainly be different.

..Sheeva was a dedicated grappler :( (God she was fun) Burn meter to give armor to her grapples (and fireball)

Again? I was just waiting to hear for characters I wanted to play as. Too one deconfirmed, we basically already know sheeva won't return since she was unpopular, and I like Mileena but she's not enough to buy a game over. There's an off chance there may still be someone on the roster I like but I can't think of anyone else id want and the new characters ate super lame so far. Combine that with the gameplay being the same as mk9/injustice so far and mkx isn't bringing anything new to the table for me. (Styles and stage attacks are a novelty gimmick at best that change nothing.)

I feel like you haven't really been paying attention to anything at all in this game.

Eh, Seen a trailer here and there. Seems like same old same old. Style variations are pointless (Coulda just been more characters), and the rest seems like just minor combo tweaks.

Either way, bottom line is I haven't seen a character I liked yet.

to go over this again

Normals being changed isn't a big issue, everyones gonna need to relearn their characters anyway, just because its a new game. Jumping in was already dangerous because jump punches or just uppercutting or backdashing, any number of things, really. Variations, as I said, are largely novelty. Yes they will be different gameplay styles but my point is that all they did was make 3 different characters and slap the same skin on em and have em share a character slot. Just seems like content padding to me.

Run mechanic is redundant due to how fast dashes are (Plus so many characters having a near instant "dashing" attack anyway) in the first place.

And as I said, considering we already had dedicated grapplers before, I'm not sure what thats supposed to mean for MKX.

So far, doesn't look to bring anything really new to the table, as in, nothing worth making a full price purchase over yet.

Just speaking from first impressions off the trailers, is all. Not impressed by the (what looks like) superfluous tweaks to gameplay, and not seeing anyone on the roster I wanna use yet.

Variations in this game will be fun casually & competitively. It will allow people to play the desired character the way that they want to play them. I don't why people are giving the option heat when they haven't even picked up the game yet. I urge people to pay more close attention to why variations are being brought into the game. For an example:

Sub-Zero is usually described as a zoning & defensive character having to use projectile to trap opponents & gets in whenever he needs to. Now, he has a more offensive approach that allows him to get in & fight more "offensively". Scorpion is vice versa.

Well the reason it gets heat is pretty pointless. What you just described is essentially removing the differences between characters. You could rushdown with sub before but he was always defensive first and foremost. What you are describing is people being unable or refusing to learn their own character. I hate it because the variations could have been different characters entirely.

Seems like the next character could be Reptile.

Also there are two new characters shown on the comics, Jacqui Briggs and Erron Black. I can't find any pics so you can see them on the video here.

Seems like Cassie and Jacqui are teens.

Jacqui could be an interesting addition. Since we all know that Cassie will most likely win her fight with Frost I wonder if she'll kill her or spare her?

Meh, when they're trying to cut down the cast, do we really need the reject third wheel ninja? I'm really starting to question if there will be room in the roster left for Sektor or Cyrax.
