Near as I can tell, it was less a conformation, more of a 'not yes, but not no'.
Macfarlane essentially said Spawn's gonna be in a video game in the future. One done by NRS.
It's about 95% likely it's MKX, but it could be a different project altogether.

Yeah Kitana's default definitely stands out more and is pretty different but is also still very Kitana like.
I think Jacqui's chances are pretty high. She can fight, She is a junior Olympic kickboxing champion who is also in he Special Forces along with Cassie, and she and Jax apparently are going to have one of the comic stories based on them (or at least just Jacqui). Also they did say more descendant characters would be in MKX aside from just Cassie, and she and Takeda seem the only other descendant characters so far.
