In order to bring it it line with all of the other icons, the eyes should likely be larger in proportion to the face, and the actual face shape should be more square. I would look at the other character icons and try to mimic that.

Heshe means make it more ugly.

I've been out of the loop for a while & had no idea they were still breeding new characters to fatten out the roster so seeing Naotora was surprising to me. Just quickly, are we getting more characters beyond this one as well? Or is this one the last before the curtain finally draws on Last Round DLC? Got to give it to Tecmo for still tossing out the content considering the game has been out for years. Many would have shut up shop by now & started work on something new but they're still keeping the flickering flame ignited. Props to them.

Naotora is from Samurai Warriors yeah? Makes me wonder if when they do release Dead or Alive 6 if we will start seeing an influx of SW characters like they did with Virtua Fighter for DOA5?

Not too familiar with Samurai Warriors series myself but looks like there are plenty of decent costumes for them to use that's for sure.

I doubt we will be receiving more characters at this point. Likely DOA6 for more promotional values and crossovers characters, though we won't see DOA6 for quite awhile, I mean "awhile."

It was more or less the same for Spartan it's not really surprising. I can't imagine there are many plausible ways why a character from a different time period would show up in DoA.

That is true, though in Spartan's case, with Halo being futuristic science fiction, getting sucked into some kind of space anomaly that potentially sends you hurtling through time actually sounds like a fairly plausible thing that could happen in-universe, and the Halo folks agreed (or came up with it themselves), seeing as how everything up to where she popped out and what she does after her disappearance is actually canon to Halo. Time portals in space break the suspension of disbelief far less than time portals in historical Japan.

But it is what it is. I know there's not much else they could've done to bring a 500-year old warrior to the present day (though I was rather fond of that "descendant who likes to cosplay" idea).

They could have skipped their silly background story and just say she is a bonus guest character and end it right there.

Stick layout by the JPN user on Twitter named HAL sent to me because he/she thought I use stick for DOA and believed I may use Naotora, to which is possibly not even a given. So all I said was a thank you.

When you have happy people send you stuff for no reason at all with hearts attached to it, such fuzzy.

I'm just assuming she's a lab bred clone by mist. Read or Die style historical clone.

Cloning historical figures actually sounds pretty neat. The implications of that and what effect such a plot point might have on the roster of future games (if any) would make for a much more interesting discussion point, but I'm thinking they didn't put that much thought into it. Her backstory paragraph literally said she just went through a mysterious portal and emerged in the present. As far as we know, it really is supposed to be her, not a clone.
