DOA5LR New DLC and Special Edition Details

So, today we got some new details from Famitsu on Last Round special editions and some DLC (which is included in the trailer). It's also worth mentioning that the DLC will be for first print buyers in Japan. It includes 4 short films, and 4 bikinis for the newer girls. I expect them to be paid DLC in the future if you want them that bad, much like the Ryu and Momiji outfits from the Yaiba incentive.

Breaking down the SE contents there are a few packs to choose from, and the descriptions are too good not to share...

The Last Round Strongest Package (25,800 ¥):

The Collector Edition comes with all of that but the tapestry, poster and chibis for ¥ 11,800.

You can also check out the Top 10 female character list from the Japanese players. Marie Rose is right behind Kasumi as the most popular character there. This list determined that Kasumi would be the character on the tapestry. Thanks @Kronin for finding the list.

If you want this collection, be prepared to import it. There is nothing on an a release for NA/PAL, much like Ultimate's SE.

Alright so I've been dicking around with this for a while so I thought I'd share.

Basically I'm trying to find the best price to get the Collectors edition for ps4 - if you're in the same boat hopefully this will help you a bit or atleast save you some time.

Things to note about my numbers, I am shipping into Canada, BC and as such i have converted some of the currency values into CDN. If you hate maple leafs or beavers, that "almost" equates into 1 CDN = 0.9 USD (That is rough but I'm not using that for my calcs, it's just for you in case you dont' know what our silly money is worth)

I always get confused as for where I can buy additional stuff for this series. I've tried hobbylink Japan, but they've never sold it to my knowledge. Like, if I want figurines, where must I go? And I mean to buy it new, not by ebay.

 

Kasumi tapestry actually looks good

I like the Immaculate white one.

What caught my attention is the History book and soundtrack. Everything else is meh

 

The Top 10 isn't really surprising especially when all the Asian females are in it.

Helena is an ojou. Ojous have always been fairly popular in Japan. Karin was ranked #1 in the Japan SF poll and she hasn't been relevant since Alpha. Lili was literally the cosplay choice pick for the Tekken 7 announcements.

That collectors edition.. It's worth like a whole weeks pay, but even so it's sooo tempting! Mostly because of the history book and tapestry even though I probably won't be able to read it because it'll be in kanji.. but still!

Imo only Nyotengu or the new female character have some chances, or maybe even both of them if TN discards Leifang (they could decide to do it if they base their decision on the survey for the tapestry).

Firstly, Marie Rose is a cutesy person. She's going to most likely be the most popular with the small female population. She's a really girly girl and a troll. She provides the comedy that Zack can't, so i figure that her storyline personality is going to reflect this in a subliminal way. Picking her in DoA is like picking Little Mac in the new smash bros: you instantly annoy the hell out of everyone. She is like Hayabusa in Dimensions. Her appeal to the Japs most likely isn't the Lolita thing like those of us pedophiles in the west (otherwise, they would've given us a little girl with at least a C). Although there is a ぺったん fetish out there, i really don't see that as what is going on here (they're too large for that). Then again, i haven't asked the japs.

Secondly, the new girl was picked by people not because of the prospect of huge boobs, because no one's really sure on that. It's the novelty of a completely new character whom we know nothing about. Look at the pre-order bonus for Monster Hunter Ultimate. Why would everyone want a figurine of a dragon that we haven't even fought yet? It's the flagship of the next game, we know it's cool, yet we don't even know why. My guess is, we might even get an "extended story (that takes places after the ending or somewhere in the middle)" to fit the new characters in, and this new girl is going to be behind it all, or, at the very least, she'll be on the cover.

I'm still curious what the heck this "soft engine" does. Aside from a color change, i'm not noticing anything that would be noticeable during a fight.
