Howdy everyone! I'm Desjah, or you could just call me my name Ron for short, and it's a pleasure to meet all of you! I just joined yesterday, and I play Momiji and Mila in particular! I'd love to get any tips or advice to learn as much as possible. I hope to have the opportunity to fight some of you! lol

Hi FSD community!

I started out on DOA2 for the Dreamcast. When Xbox360 launched, I got DOA4 immediately. Then of course when DOA5 and DOA5U came out, I got those first day. DOA has always appealed to me. The game is very action packed and the combos look beautiful. Plus the sound effects of landing a punch or kick sounds very powerful and gives alot of feeling to the game. I'm a very casual DOA player though. I never tried to learn the technical side. I do play SSF4 and UMVC3 on a more serious level though. I've always liked fighting games in general from Clayfighters to Killer Instinct.

Now with DOA5U out, I'm going to put more time and effort to learn this game. Although I'm a complete beginner when it comes to 3D fighters, I do hope the DOA5U community grows and the scene gets recognized. I took the first steps to learning this game and supporting the community by attending the Los Angeles gathering setup by HajinShinobi this past Sunday. To be honest, I was timid about meeting and playing against skilled people. But they were all really friendly, encouraging and helpful. I felt welcomed and that's a great feeling.

Thanks! I hope to go again next Sunday.

oh crap, more ayane ;~;

Welcome to FSD :D

haha. I don't have a main right now since I'm trying to get comfortable with the gameplay. After watching Hajin's smooth movement and dancing with Ayane, I might pick up her. lol But if I had to pick which character's fighting style looks the most interesting to me, it's Christie so I think I will try her out as my main.

Yeah, I'm working on it, no worries.
Looks like I might be the only Lisa rep going into TFC so far since ROTS stopped using her :(

Thanks! I hope to go again next Sunday.

Greetings, folks. Some gaming circles know me as the CommandThrower, and I've been a fan of fighting games since the days of Street Fighter II. I was first introduced to DOA when DOA2 came out, and I followed the series up until DOA2Ultimate came out. I liked them, but I never really learned it to a serious extent. I didn't really play any other DOA after DOA2Ultimate, since they were for consoles I didn't have access to at the time.

Among the fighting games that I play and really like, Virtua Fighter 5: FS is one of them. Now that DOA5U is out I am very interested in learning how to play this game, and me playing and learning VF5 is probably a big factor in my interest. DOA5U has a good amount of similarities to VF5, so I will definitely be buying myself a copy of this game soon and learn the ropes. I'm not too knowledgeable on DOA communities, but FSD seemed like the best one based on a lot of the character threads I was reading. Thanks to you folks who are providing the tricks of the trade for this game, it really helps the learning process.

After EVO, I've kind of taken a break from fighting games until I buy a HitBox arcade controller. However, I'm due to buy one soon, so I'll be learning this game too soon enough. Until that time, keep on fighting!

I'm also from Tennessee. Bushido & Vandy (WoTman X) are as well. They're right in your backyard. There's also somebody else from Antioch, TN NinjaRayMan, but we're close enough to set up some kind of offline gathering, bro (from Chattanooga) :)

There's also a KiT tournament in January: http://www.freestepdodge.com/thread...-2014-murfreesboro-tn.3076/page-3#post-120600

Whoa, you serious!? That would be pretty damn cool. There's an arcade in the Antioch over in the Hickory Hollow area. That's one of the few gathering spots I can think of off the top of my head. lol

That's what's up! I have family that live out that way, too. Yeah when nothings in the way, we definitely need to kick & get some casuals in.

Here's the Southern Players' Thread if you want to look who's on the map with you. Check the border states too. There's some that are close to where we both live that can come too. This goes for any newcomer in the southern area. Check it out in the matchmaking section.
