We should now be cautious on who to give review copies next time LOL. But seriously, he could of just put the game on Hero Mode.
That's what the option is for, least I think so or for anyone new to action games. He mentions he's not wired to play games at such an intensity, but Hero Mode is probably the good starting point to enjoy the game and then do whatever after that. He mentions Easy Mode (which is Hero mode) won't change his mind on that, but I think it will. The problem is that for some reason, people going live on stream can get pretty ego about it during their session in front of the live chat audience and afraid of getting embarrassed about picking Hero Mode, and if they did fuck em. Just ban them lol. You bought the game so do whatever you want with it. This could of been his first game where you can go from Hero Mode > Normal, and probably absorb the intensity behind it. It's apparently his first NG game and yet this one is way more accessible than it's ever been in my opinion.
I'm definitely not in the position to tell anyone what game they should/should not play, but it's like people get into a particular spot in the game and use that as the pinnacle point to drop the game.

He should have definitely started off on an easier level since NG isn't a game for the sensitive xD
I remember I almost gave up normal difficulty in NG2B with Momiji against the two tengu brothers since I felt soft locked due to no resources but then I just had to sit back and see what I did wrong(like a fighting game) and then my approach change helped me xD
I finished normal mode and am excited to play through the whole thing with Ryu now. Even with just his one weapon.
I do really wish we could manually save at the ravens/store or something. It checkpoints before them which makes it to where you have to rebuy stuff. Unless I am missing something with them.
