If you have to put her in a tier list, how high / low could you place her? I'm willing to play her because I really like this character, but to be honest I don't want to play a broken character...

Just finished her training and I'm in love. Not as broken as DOA2 Tengu but infinitely better than DOA4. If you have questions shoot

Generally talking about, do you feel that Nyotengu is more a grappler, a juggle character or a middle way between them?

And I'm affraid she is broken, like MR and Phase are, for the sake of good sellings...

Huh? Strange because people here have a very different opinion about Marie Rose and overall Phase-4.

RE; ground throws, I can only confirm they're guaranteed off certain moves 3T and 1PPP. I also tried 9K but it seems they can tech after

RE; tier, it's way too early for that but as I said if you played DOA4 Tengu this is a huge improvement. They did remove some of his strings and lowered the weight, and initially I was mad but not after trying her out

@Kronin, I think she's a good all around character, but definitely strike oriented. Her stuns are really good and the damage is there too.

Site notes: Her PB doesn't have nearly the same range as DOA4, but non-PB version is safe at max distance and PB version has push back if blocked. Also BT 8KKK is gone and you can't link 2PP into 3P anymore :/ (or H+K for that matter)

Also the special wakeup is gone

Wind cancel has stricter timing than DOA2

Timing on hiten is very lenient, similar to Kasumi cancels

Sigh.... Ok, ok... Sentence removed. I don't want to have a discussion here about that...

Well actually MR and Phase-4 seem to me better than how usually people make pass them so I think to agree more with you than what my comment could make think; anyway I'm far from having the knowledge to judge them so I give credit to the majority of the opinion on FSD.

End Off Topic.

hahahahahahahaha

aw man. I was afraid of this...

Do you mean you're afraid of her being OP? She's still slow and lacking strings in a game that favors nothing but speed and mixups. Also despite the improvements from DOA4 there's also some nerfs, like less reach on H+K and 3P, less damage on 2T, etc. So I doubt you'll be seeing a ton of Nyotengu mains once the initial hype wears off. She's not nearly as easy to play as someone like Christie or Helena. I might even put her below Rachel right now. But at the end of the day she's definitely more fun and varied than DOA4 Tengu IMO.

Nothing is more fun than DOA4 Tengu.
Except DOA4 Alpha but you can't play as that so

Sweet. That makes her massive 3T nerf a little more bearable.

BT 8KKK is gone

BT8K only had two hits before and her frame data states that they took away the second hit, but kept the first one. Are you saying the whole attack is actually gone though?

Wow. That really sucks.

Also the special wakeup is gone

I expected as much. It was never really that useful, but I don't see the point in taking it away, and I'd still have preferred to keep it.

Also despite the improvements from DOA4 there's also some nerfs, like less reach on H+K and 3P

There were both very important tools for DOA4 Tengu, I hope she has some new reach options to make up for them.
