Elise imo looks the best, at least as far as facially since she looks very mature and more European than before, the other girls I think are decent but Nanami and Fiona look good.

Tamaki idk, I feel like they took away that exotic look she used to have to her face, like they softened something but I can't quite point out what it is. She just doesn't have that same wild exotic look anymore in her eyes, but maybe in person on my PC I'll have my mind changed?

In 6 Tamaki looks almost exactly how she does in Venus Vacation which was mature, sultry and and overall something about her was just exotic, like her facial expressions stood out especially with her eyes

In Prism idk if it's maybe the lighting but her face just looks... softer in comparison and doesn't really give me that same vibe anymore, like they wanted her to look more her age rather than mature. She seems more baby faced imo

Then again tho i noticed that same thing for certain girls in DOA6, Nyo and Rachel also had that more mature, sexy dark look in DOA5 but in 6 it's like they kinda took that away from them with the transition to that DW engine or whatever but DOA5 always looked more sophisticated imo than DOA6 did.

How so? That screenshot is vanilla DOA6 besides the earrings I did, and I don't think modding factors into it. Tamaki just doesn't look the same imo, she looks alot softer. But then again I pay alot of attention to visuals so what I see may differ from what others do
Well... yeah.

PerfectDark023 can only carry so much weight on his own.
And alot of the weight he carries is taken from others from what I can see since he does like to take others ideas and work, it's why I'm more sparse on what I do since he'll just take it like he had it done for months

I'll try to look closer into the visuals tho when the game drops since I do plan to try learning to mod Prism since I want to be ready for if DOA ever uses Katana or Unreal Engine 5. I'm sure that alot of the base stuff is similar to DOA6 like hair textures but I think the face maps and such will be different on top of lighting

The new Prism showcase seemed like somewhat of an improvement over what we’ve seen in previous trailers.

It’s a game that looks like it has some promising aspects and then it throws in a wrench here and there. I’ve never been fond of some of the interactions in DOAXVV and I’m not fond of them here.

The level of expression though? I really like it! Would have once again preferred DOA original characters. For Christ sake. They blew it on the roster IMO.

I’m more of a fan of the original DOA girls and the last 5-7 new Venus with Sayuri thrown in. The girls they chose for this game… yikes.

And Tamaki… I love her in DOA6/VV but in Prism. Something is just soooo off. Like I don’t want to be rude but I could go off hard on that Prism design. Lmao.

Eh, regarding VV interactions, I think I can tolerate it a bit better than with Metal Gear. At least the interactions in VV don't come across as them just reading an essay.

character's height (Elise) does not change with/without heels is kinda lame, i expect more from the new engine. The environment looks too good that sometimes the character models do not fit in. I noticed some of them don't shadows :oops:

Here are my thoughts pertaining to the latest 20-minute showcase for Prism.

The Good
  1. Character Interaction seems interesting enough to go through the game with each Venus once.
  2. Storyline seems engaging and if you are into this kind of stuff, it might be a nice cozy game.
  3. Prism seems a lot more flirtatious than the owner simply just being a pervert.
  4. Chapter and Swimsuit keeps your playthroughs organizes.
The Bad
  1. The environments look really bad. I mean the passion from the team doesn't show when looking around the locations they created. If you aren't looking for your girl directly in the eyes, you are going to be disappointed with what you see.
  2. The environments are VOID of personality. You see books with no titles at the spine, you beach chairs and umbrellas all parked in the same situation.
  3. The Island feels like a ghost town. Why does this alleged festival of the Venus feel so dull and uninspired?
  4. Buildings in particular look AWFUL. They are so big and spacious but have no identity and no personality. It takes away from that cozy element I think they were trying for.
  5. Characters look bleh. The body proportions look a bit better, but something just isn't right here. I don't like the vibe and how some characters lack vibrancy that was shown in any of their previous encounters.
  6. While the island is more animated than before, you still can't exactly wander the island like most were hoping.

Conversing with more than one girl is in fact an option in this game (somewhat hinted at in the prior trailers, but this definitely confirms it). Also, Fiona and Honoka basically say the following (at least, that's what DeepL translated it as):

Fiona: My name is Fiona. Nice to meet you, Honoka.

Honoka: Hello! I'm Honoka! Um, I was just in between from Tamaki-san: ...... Fiona, are you really a “princess”?

Fiona: Yes, I am called a princess by people outside my handsome family. ......

I can't say it's that good of a translation, but it at least conveys what they're saying. Note the subtitles cut off when it enters photography mode.

Nanami: It goes by so fast when you are absorbed in painting. Hey, ...... what kind of pictures did the owner take?

Owner: Do you want to take a look?

(For anyone unfamiliar with how Famitsu scores games, that's 4 different reviewers who each gave a score out of 10. So one person gave it a 6, one gave it an 8, and two gave it 9s.)
