Actually, the nipples, areola, and coloring are default on the models themselves. Everything else is extra.

Yeah, I mean it's not that surprising, taki had it in the past soul caliburs. I'm pretty sure the base models dont have any coloring around that area though, the hacks added the textures and everything.

If you look in the thread, everything regarding the breasts are default in the game. The only modding being done is the costume design to show them off. The only thing truly modded on the anatomy seems to be the detailed genitalia.
It's rather common for the detailed breasts to be in the game to begin with. I've been to focus testing sessions before where the assets don't load correctly so you end up with nude models where most of the anatomy has been detailed barring the genitalia (sometimes pubic hair is present). If you place the camera in the correct position in Dragon Age, you can see the nude models of characters and they're the same way. They're never meant to be seen but the artists do it anyway.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the models were similar in DOA5.
I never noticed that. That's pretty cool, I guess.

ESRB is way too strict with game ratings. I'm not sure I've ever played a game that I think is only appropriate for those over the age of 17, even the ones that border into the AO category (like Witcher 2 before the fan backlash).
A DoA game should be rated "T" at most, though I wouldn't be surprised if Team Ninja likes the publicity of receiving the "M" rating.

DOA can never be kiddie again. Thats why its a M for Mature. Just like Sekirei.

DOA X2 is a lot worse in terms of sexual content than DOA4 and probably DOA5, so it's not exactly a fair comparison.
You know what's crazy? PEGI rated DOA X2 12+ while rating DOA4 and even DOA16+.
That's just the European take on violence vs. nudity. For some strange reason they don't consider nudity to be dangerous
And It's likey the camera and replay modes, combined with costumes, that allow prolonged and sexually suggestive gameplay opportunities (or "juvenile behaviour") <which could be seen as harmful to the immature, but just fun or nothing to the rest of us> which earned the game the rating. Big diff btwn partial or brief nudity and the same thing with time and camera controls. We wouldn't want someone tugging themselves an injury now, would we?
Hopefully the rating is deserved.

Thats what make HOTD epic.
Hey! Animes like that and Eiken are hilarious though. Those two animes are ridiculously fanservicy(?) and surely lack a decent story. But they are very amusing. It's like watching B-movies, no one expects it to win an oscar but it's enjoyable for what it is.
Ontopic: Yeah, esrb can be....abnormally strict at times. For a nation that supports and is filled with sluts, whores, shackers, nudist, swingers, and sexually "free" people, the esrb is really strict on stuff like that. I'm very traditional and prefer my women with clothes on (Hello Helena). If a woman can turn you on while fully clothed(at least compared to other women), just imagine what she can do without em. It's the reason why I prefer burlesque over strippers. Style and grace over @$$ and shakes erryday.
