I'd prefer it if you just by the games from the store or just rent them from gamefly. My PS+ ran out and I was hella salty. Even if the free games on XBL aren't the most appealing vs PS+ free games, at least I'll actually own them when my gold runs out, plus all the DLC.
You're looking at this from a bad angle. The Xbox equivalent would if someone were to complain that "XBL sucks because if I forget to keep my account on Gold, I can't play my games online".
Now, I'm not saying the PS+ program should be used to amass all of your games on, but it can be VERY convenient if you are smart about it. Look at it like this ... it is a GIANT perk for paying for a service. Online gaming is a perk for paying for monthly Internet service (for example).
Not to mention that BOTH the options of buying all the games you play, or renting a bulk from GameFly (if you keep GF active for an extended period), end up costing you more money over the long run. If you aren't the kind of person who will just KEEP the PS+ subscription active (like some people who KEEP their XBL Gold accounts active) and have no worries just from staying on the program, then the smart way to look at it is as a CHEAP rental service that gives you access to full games, allowing you to play them and evaluate whether or not you want to buy them later ... and if you do, then you either wait to catch a big deal on a digital download of the game, or buy a disc copy for cheap off a site like Amazon or Ebay (or GameStop, etc., if you prefer that), allowing you to cut costs on games you want to own, and avoid wasting money on games you don't.
You were only "salty" in that instance because you didn't
play the matchup correctly, and got BODIED.
