Why not just play tournaments in round-robin format? Too many people playing?
Yeah, the tournament he rigged for $10k. That one.Like that ONE CGI that he won?
I'm supposed to call out the people chosen and not the people doing the choosing? Do you not see the lack of logic? If you're going to call master out for that then you need to call out Sage, Swoozie, King, Cyberevil, Kasumi Chan and every other MF'er from the community who participated instead of stepping aside and letting the better players get a shot - oh wait, its not popular to call out anyone but Master.
You only say that because he's said it so many times that people like you believe him. If you actually put together your tournament ladder then you'd see this isn't actually the case.Master - love him or hate him - is the most accomplished DOA player in the community
Based on some of his more recent posts, he doesn't seem very knowledgeable.he knows more about the game than you
Wouldn't touch it with yours.hes porking Vanessa "Vanessa" Aretega.

*coughnotDID7cough*Yeah, where I'm from we like to throw around big words. . .like, "Accountability", maybe you've heard of it? See, the people who choose are only 50% of the equation. The CHOSEN have to accept the selection - whether they are or not deserved, its their RESPONSIBILITY to do the right thing.
Go back through the old DOAC site and you'll realize that if Master is there, hes winning or placing top 3. On top of that he had the best record during the CGS season 1 and he won both CGI events. He came in second at Evo in 06, he either wins or places at DID every year (which is the biggest drawing tournament in the community), and on and on.
*coughnotDID7cough*
Actually, he came in 1st in DOAD - of course not many people had been playing the game seriously at the time but, on a technicality, Relius is right.
And I don't know about any of you but if the only way you can win is by getting lucky with the counters (Rikuto) that makes you a scrub in my book.
How many games are you actually tournament-level competent at?
Quick disclaimer: I'm not down with the claims without solid proof, and leave it there. I think CyberEvil has thrown enough of an even hand on things for the "fixing topic"... and the claim to authority/personal judgement thing doesn't work for anyone, but!
I think the above question (on its own without any other implications) is a useful thing to know and to ASK yourself.
To be a good, solid gamer, particularly competitively, I really think its important to be well rounded and to be able to play and understand tournament level skill in multiple games, to at least an intermediate or better standard.
It doesn't mean any well reasoned arguments made by people without this should be ignored, but its probably going to be harder to find experience and examples to draw on without it.
Between now and when DOA drops, play a lot of fighting games! Go to events! See the environment this community is going to be entering into.
You don't have to get all power-word-positive on me.
He was just using the old tactic of defending his "friend" by preemptively attacking the integrity of his "foe". That's called engineering a debate and it failed because his engineerwork was groundless and could be easily reflected on himself even if it did have a base.
It doesn't need to get anymore complicated than that, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to take the focus off of that blunder. When people don't take pity on someone for saying something dumb and intervene on their behalf I think you'll find the internet has its own form of natural selection.
Have....have we been here before?!
True... and usually, they become memes. It doesn't need to get anymore complicated than that, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to take the focus off of that blunder. Some people don't stop. Ever.
