Screen turns dark?

Has anyone had this happen on certain stages? The screen just gets lower in brightness and everything. then when a new match starts it returns to normal?

Sounds like a dynamic contrast setting on your TV or monitor actually. The game doesn't have any setting that would cause that.

Hmm, it never happens when i'm playing but when i'm watching a match it does this. But thank you mr Evil i appreciate your kindness ;3

It could be a screen saver setting on your console. If you don't press anything for a while it will dim the screen.

I saw in a thread there is a glitch when Nyotengu does her PB, the screen turns dark/b&w for spectators

Yes this happened me too and I thought this should be related to my monitor but it seems it is a glitch. My reaction was like...

See i knew it! i knew i wasn't crazy! It happens when Tengu is on and i'm spectator. i never see it otherwise.

Yeah, quite a few people have experienced this when spectating in lobbies and Nyotengu is up. Seems particularly high when it's a Nyo mirror.

Interesting glitch, then. I solve it by only fighting matches and not waiting around watching people play. Not a patient guy.

There also seems to be an issue with the sound volume being reduced dramatically.
