You finally watched the story! I agree, it's really beautiful, the ending actually made me cry which I wasn't expecting at all. Also certain characters like Yumi and Yomi that I disliked initially actually became my favorite characters after seeing their stories and actions in it, most games can't do that for me.

Yeah I understand now why ou said it made you cry cause was really a good ending. I like that even though the game is silly at times it can take itself seriously when it needs to. All of the characters have really grown on me now that I've seen them in the story. The characters are actually pretty deep at times.

I really didn't care for the story at all ngl especially parts that included Haruka, Katsuragi, Ryobi, or Ryona. Haruka and Katsu because it's like yeah I get it you like touching the other girls can you please show me another personality trait? Ryobi was annoying af and every scene with Ryona was like "NYAAAAAAAAAH~ CALL ME A BITCH SLAP ME NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH~ <<<<333" then her whole heart mission set was about wanting to be turned into soup so someone could eat her. I never thought I'd see vore fetish representation in a video game at least not presented so obviously. Then at the end we never get to fight the yoma the whole game's story is based around! wtf!
The parts I actually did like were the serious ones like with Miyabi and her mother and the shrine sisters talking about their past with Kagura and how she killed a yoma.

Their heart missions ruined both characters for me. Yumi tried to change herself to please whoever she marries in the future and Yomi went around beating up people that spent any money because she's so mentally damaged from being poor
I actually agree, I'm not fond of Haruka, she's a lili wannabe who tries to be relevant, and Ryobi is a bitch for calling MY Ryona-san a bitch, and she's a total grump the entire story while Ryona is being nice and loving to their sister Ryoki whom they haven't seen in years. And not Ryona :-( , I liked all her story mode scenes, especially the cute scenes where she acted like various animals and had the heart background when she was insulted, and her shinobi heart was my favorite, but I didn't like her disturbing ending...although I'd eat her honestly.
Yomi I didn't like at first because she was slow and stuff, but...she grew on me, I love how she's a lowkey bitch, and she's just like lili personality wise, she sounds so polite and mannered but what she actually says is very snarky and arrogant. Yumi I love, but her story is so stock boring...her SH mission is my least favorite besides Kafuru and daidouji.

Omg lol Ryona wants to be made into soup! The person i watched completed the main story but he hasn't done the hearts or special yet so I'll watch that as well. And yeah I was surprised they never fought the Yoma after all that build up to it.
I'm hoping that this Yoma thing will finally be fought in like the next game or even a DLC mission in the future, I'd be interested honestly in seeing how tough it would be. And the special missions mode I think they could have done better; there's only two to start off with and they're very hard to complete unless your character is leveled up very high. I couldn't beat the first one with Yumi until three weeks later when I got her to cap level, and Asuka is next although I'm not very fond of her, I only like her voice and her ponytail.
And lastly they could have definitely had more unlockable content, there was only really 5-6 unlockable hairstyles and they were either short, weird or cheap looking and the clothes except for the sailor, bikini, and casino dealer outfits are generic and forgettable. If you really want any good styles, you'll have to do the SH missions to unlock the hair you want or you'll have to shell out money to get some DLC which I definitely need to do. The Bobcut and Ikaruga's godtier hime cut is all I need, but I'm annoyed because there's one shaggy strand of Ikaruga's blunt bangs that's longer than the others...it ruins the perfect effect and makes her look like she is not as composed as she really is.

If there is a sequel they should have something to do with the Yoma, And I think they should have a soul calibur type customization in the future games with lots of different tops and bottoms etc.
I'm still surprised with a game like this that they didn't milk the dlc for longer since it seems like the type if game where that dlc would sale. Also from watching that person play the characters that I could see playing as the most would be Mirai and Kufuru.
Me too, I thought there would be lots more but I guess they kinda toned it down since they have other projects.And you'll like Kafuru and Mirai, using them in pretty much any mode is fun with Mirai's hidden guns and umbrella and I find it funny but cool that Kafuru can mow through grunts with a water gun. The customization is also good, you can't change shoes or mix and match tops and bottoms but the recolor and accessories make up for it, especially since everything can be worn by any girl.

I just love how unique the styles are! They aren't held down in trying to have only serious styles and what not so you have characters using elephants and coffins to fight.

I had heard somewhere (not sure what source) that the yoma conflicts and main storyline would be reserved for the 3DS/Nintendo titles, while the character-focused/side stories would be reserved for the Sony consoles.
It's a shame, considering how they do a lot of inter-connection between Shinovi Versus and Deep Crimson in Estival Versus.
I'm hoping the Mikagura sisters add Kagura and Naraku to their team in the next title.

I will say, in terms of story, I think the series is certainly losing its direction. EV was essentially New Hebijo's game, possibly to make up for how they were just kind of...there in SV, and they generally made for this game's highlights. There wasn't a whole lot notable beyond them and the Mikaguras, though. Gessen's role was pretty much just recycled from things already covered in SV, while Hanzo and Crimson Squad were mostly relegated to recurring background characters who'd sometimes show up as comic relief or to give somebody advice.
I will say, go watch through Burst's Hebijo story, or Deep Crimson. I legitimately think they may well change your view on characters like Yomi and Haruka; there's a reason that Old Hebijo/Crimson Squad are fan favorites.
Plus, Burst's Hebijo story has my favorite opening in the series.

Btw Japan PSN Store has some New SK themes that aren't from Estival Versus
They feature the main 4 girls in aprons and nude aprons cooking and Yomi/Mirai in bikinis.
Maybe that has something to do with this new SK?
