Tbh I wasn't to interested in VD either, although I'd be here for a more improved sequel. Same for Uppers.
I actually want to see a SK sub series, same universe but totally different locations, like how Samurai Warriors is to Dynasty Warriors. Perhaps a Chinese counterpart, or a European setting with magicians
I wouldn't mind them making a western style sub series like make the story about different nationality girls with different fighting disciplines who go to attend different dojos and school and then one main girl like Asuka is up against a rival dojo. XD
I also saw this on Twitter and this made me glance twice

Lol that makes me think of Maisen university since from what I think it's a university in Japan that houses international students. I wouldn't mind the Maisen girls getting they're own sub series.
Okay here's the final of the gifs I made from the Burst footage.

Aren't those the same transformation and win pose from EV tho? And when I think of my idea I thought of Kenichi the mightiest Disciple anime XD I wouldn't mind a game like that tbh, you control some random amateur guy and battle big boobes black belts like he does in the anime

I wouldn't mind a prequel! It would probably allow us to see the earlier girls from all ninja schools alongside Jasmine too
In burst, shinovi versus and deep crimson, in between missions, you can go to each team's dormitory (in crimson squad's case, their cave hideout which is surprisingly well equipped) and control the last character you used in a mission to go around and interact with the other girls as well as go to different areas in the room to manage the different menu items like going to a cabinet to change the girl's outfits. For some reason, they cut this feature for estival and by the looks of it, Re:Newal will combine the original system with estival versus lazy menu system where you navigate the different menu options with each girl representing a different option (in Hebijo's case, I can imagine Rin will assign new missions while Mirai will give access to the library). It is nice to see the girls actually moving and doing things unlike the earlier games where they just stood around not moving.
Technically, Jasmine IS Sayuri's Kagura form. Kagura is a rank/title, not some kind of transformation state. Sayuri is a former Kagura because she retired. When it comes to the character of Kagura, its not clear if she was named after the title or the title was named after her. Seeing that she is a constantly reincarnating being born every hundred years only to kill yomas, I assume the title was named after her.
I finished the main story missions for EV as well as the shinobi hearts missions and am now just trying to level up the characters. Out of all the characters, Kagura, Rin and Daidoji are seriously overpowered; I can level them up to 5 times each mission and even in hard mode, I hardly struggle using them. Im considering getting the dlc missions like the dual hearts but outside the story elements, I dont really expect much new content so I may just pass on them to save up for PBS

Rin sucks online tho and Kagura sucks if you don't just spam her breach art XD. Also I think all other characters can level up multiple times like that too, you just have to find the right Ninpo to do so. I leveled up everyone so for example I used Ryona's rebellion concerto level 3, Lu Bu(I love her, her theme is the best in the game, especially once it hits that whiny part twenty five seconds in) I used her level 2 and for Minori I used her level 2 ninpo with her candy set in her bucket so I could use the rainbow full bucket to milk Ninpo scrolls and also speed up the process
I miss the game, it's a shame I can't bring myself to play it anymore...
Seriously her theme is the best in the game with Haruka, Ryobi's and Ikaruga's theme close seconds
The best I think is definetly Ryona's since hers goes into the 2000s like literally in seconds XD leveling up her and Lu Bu was one of the most fun I did in the game, haruka and other girls like her made me wanna give up until I found a way to sort of milk it
To me, the hardest character to level up and use overall is Hibari. Even in burst and deep crimson, I have a harder time finishing missions with her than anyone else. Given that in universe, she is the weakest Hanzo girl, I guess she was intentionally made to be harder to use. The same goes with Minori who Im also having a hard time leveling up.
I know Mirai is supposed to be the weakest crimson girl (her weakness even became a plot point in burst) but her emphasis on ranged attacks make her easier to use for me (she is my personal favorite in the cast as far as characterization but I like Daidoji's playstyle way more), her ability to use a minigun and grenade launcher in place of her umbrella in deep crimson actually makes her very powerful.
I read about this, she was supposed to be the main character instead of Asuka but they changed it because having her as the main character made the series too similar to some anime.

MINORI??? Just go to enemy heavy stages on hard difficulty, get into transformation form, press triangle to fill your bucket and spam her level two ninpo art ;-p if you run out, run into another crowd and use triangle to make her do her breach art which quickly gives ninpo scrolls but only use it when the bucket contents are rainbow color. Her shortcake wheel is OK but only mainly on online survival in narrow halls or in corners, I usually cut in front of other players and hog the enemies for myself XD I've gotten hatemail because of that but I'm very competitive unless I'm playing with a friend, not so much if I hate the person or don't know them

Oops I didn't even think of that, I think I heard before it's 7 flashes per second that triggers a seizure in epileptics and that's 17 in just 2 seconds. Spoiler'd

Yeah I'd seen a little bit of the hub room in the older games, that looked pretty cool but I'm really liking this menu system and it definitely beats EV menu. I'm happy to see the girls doing cool stuff instead of standing almost motionless like in EV. Good to see it always looking better.
Also all of you seem really good when it comes to leveling up the girls. I think the only girl I really leveled up was Kafuru?
Edit: Oh and I edited this to crop out the menu.
Also your wrong @KasumiLover69. The best themes are Yagyu's and Naraku's.
Wow I actually didn't know that. the more you know! Cool gif anyway.

I miss that hub room, I always loved that homely comfortable feeling I got watching YT vids from SV and then seeing everyone in the hub room all doing something and you could do whatever. I was pissed when I found out they removed it
Also those themes are ok but I feel like most of them aren't "hard" enough or lack in some manner

Wait did you play burst?! And really lol I thought those themes are pretty crazy in terms of so much happening ( in a good way ) I also like this remix of Yagyu's theme. -

Oh I never played video watched game videos of it on YT. Most of the music I don't like in SK except normal stage ones since they tend to not be memorable
This is an example of a memorable song imo
It's nice, has a bit of ethnic flair, and its a pretty dark and twisted theme imo which I enjoy
