So which version is everyone all getting

I'll be playing on the PS3.

Now I'm curious as to whether or not there will be differences between the two versions of DoA 5, like there are for the other fighting games. Hopefully one of you who bought both versions of the game can do an experiment to see if things like the input delay are the same across both platforms.

Undoubtedly, the XBOX 360 will become the console of choice for tournaments, but now that makes me wonder how it would work out if DoA 5 were ever at EVO, since all of the other fighting games are played on the PlayStation 3.

Perhaps Dead or Alive 5 being played on the XBOX 360 at tournaments is not such a given after all.

I can't see there being many differences between the 360 and PS3 versions, to be honest. I think the only real difference will be the online community. As someone before me said, xbox live may have a larger, more established fanbase, and therefore a greater number of potential match-ups. Even so, I still think the differences will be negligible.

I have the collectors edition pre-ordered already for 360 but I'm very, very tempted to get it for PS3 as well... mainly because I have a couple people near by willing to play offline with me, but not on 360.

Judging from Amazon sales rankings and the fact that PSN is free I'd say PS3 will have more competition online.

Amazon sales rankings are woefully inadequate for predicting sales. They update hourly and aren't cumulative. If they took all sales, from the list date, in aggregate then we'd have something.

Regular X360 version here. The CE is literally twice the price over here and I don't think that's worth it.
