There's never just 1 person hating on any given game. Every game has its batch of haters for various reasons ... it doesn't mean the games don't get played, though. Haters gonna hate.
It's about meter-management over health/percentage in this game. You
could look at it as a "meter race" in matches, but considering there are moves (including throws) that effectively TAKE meter off of an opponent, there will be strategy layers in the game to keep things interesting.
But hey, if you don't like how the game is shaping up, there's no reason you have to play the game, or even pay its development much mind. Let the people looking forward to it continue looking forward to it without you constantly chiming in saying the game "sucks", "is boring", "didn't impress me", "doesn't play enough like Smash", etc., etc. IMO, you're almost becoming a broken record like GFM's complaints about "counters during stun" in DOA5.
And one more thing ...
... only the characters with easy meter building and easy kill-scoring supers will be used.
Oh, so only characters seen to be Top/High tier in the game will be used in tournaments? Gee, that doesn't exactly sound like a foreign concept in the world of fighting games. I mean, just for example, didn't Smash Bros tournaments only see a handful of characters consistently at the top of tournament play?
