Soul Calibur Thread

So we aren't getting any kind of reveal for gamescom. Well maybe we'll get one at the end of the tournament or at TGS.
I do wonder if they tournament has any bearing on SCVI. If it does, could this mean that all of these characters, including Z.W.E.I. and Natsu, are coming back? Or is it just a simple hype builder? I wish I knew why they made these specific choices.

Yeah I'm wondering too if all the characters that have been in the tournament are getting in or if the tournament is just to build hype and has nothing to do with SC6.

If Pyrrha is going to be in it, what would they theoretically do with her? Without Astral Chaos shenanigans, she's not in her Omega form but she still has her Nightmare-esque arm. What moves would post-SC5 Pyrrha carry over from her two forms?

It depends on if they choose to use that ending, which I don't think they can since that means Soul Calibur and Soul Edge are destroyed. Also I wouldn't mind Pyrrah still having the malfested arm, I actually kinda like it.

Well, technically, Soul Edge isn't entirely destroyed...

*cue storms and ominous music as Pyrrha's fragment manifests (malfests?) as a new Soul Edge*

Oh boy...and here I thought the nightmare is finally over. XD But yeah, I don't think the two great swords could go down that easily, they didn't in the ending of SC4 where Segfried and Nightmare had that epic clash

Especially if they treat the text passage from LS as canon, where shards of both swords are scattered throughout space and time. Things could get really interesting there.

Nope. They posted this though.

Now they're doing a relationship chart. Interesting how Natsu was excluded from this.

Ah, relationship charts, I loved those. I remember the chain of souls relationship chart they had in SC4, that was so epic seeing all the exploitation Tira did and the enemies and alliances

Does anyone else think it's odd how Cervantes has his SCIV artwork, but for Mitsurugi they're using the SCV version? Maybe it means nothing, but it seems strange to me.

He's always been known as the undead pirate, maybe they are gonna return him back to this?

I really like the relationship charts, I loved SC4's where you could see what the characters were to each other. I'm not sure why they are doing it right now but It could be to remind people of the character's relations before announcing SC6. Maybe that means that the characters that get added to this chart will be in SC6 since I don't think the chart is done with only 4 people.

Yeah, the two most interesting things about this being Cervantes having the SCIV artwork and Natsu not being there despite this being centered around Taki. If this has any hint at SCVI, it could suggest that Cervantes is undead again and Natsu is cut. Both of which I approve of. But Mitsurugi having the SCV artwork does raise some questions, such as if this really is a hint, or if Cervantes' artwork was just an oversight.
