It makes perfect sense that they use for everyone but Mitsurugi the SC4 artworks. That's when they had their beef with each other, when Cervantes was still this undead kind of thing and Taki and Sophitia were still around. By the way, why did Cervantes look normal in SC5 all of a sudden again? XD

Could this relationship chart be setting up the relations to each character in SCVI? That'd be interesting if it is, because that would fall in line with the idea that they're using Astral Chaos to bring the series back to the 16th century. I think it's strange how they're only using original characters here, because using Natsu as a relation to Taki would've been obvious. We'll see what they are doing with any of this.

And yeah, I find it funny how his new body looks exactly like a younger version of him.

I was thinking they might not use the astral chaos to bring it back to before SCV and they might just set it before it. That would get rid of the characters from SCV though which people like so who knows. I'd personally like the game to take place after SCV and for Taki and previous characters to come back just older.

I have a feeling they'll keep some characters from SCV. The most likely one in my opinion is Pyrrha, because she's an Alexandra girl that Hoshino wants to promote just like her mother and aunt. That's why I suspect Astral Chaos will come into play, despite the simplest option being to just set it after SCIV.

I really hope she returns, she was my absolute favorite SCV newbie, plus Japan loves her since she caters to the moe fandom, and she honestly wasn't that low in the popularity poll, she was about mid

Plus, having someone else other than Seig-Mare and Cervy wield the Soul Edge is a nice touch. Besides, Pyrrah Omega is awesome.

Plus, if you add Pyrrha and Omega together, she'd be the highest voted replacement by far with 143 votes and the second highest behind Viola (for comparison, Patroklos and Alpha Patroklos only got a combined total of 62 votes). It's safe to say that Pyrrha was fairly well-received, despite having some detractors, she's more heroic than her younger brother, who's supposed to be the hero. I found her biggest flaw to be the sheer fact that she's a replacement, which would be fixed if she fought alongside her mother and aunt instead of in their place.

Does anyone else think it's odd how Cervantes has his SCIV artwork, but for Mitsurugi they're using the SCV version? Maybe it means nothing, but it seems strange to me.

This have to be a hint. They return SC4 Astaroth for lost swords and now this. Interesting.

Yeah, if this has any significance it really is lining up to the idea of returning to the original setting and completely undoing the time skip. It probably works better that way. Not even Daishi, the one who initiated the time skip, could make it work. He found a convenient excuse to make almost all the returning characters not age, but then cut characters like Taki for "being too old", which was dumb. He even said the 17 year time skip was just an arbitrary number.

And that's why he no longer has his job.

I agree with there being no reason not to bring back Taki. Soul Edge is basically the fountain of youth and nearly every character has touched it or has been harmed by it. Didn't Taki pull the Soul Edge fragment out of Sophitia back in Soul Edge? There's your justification -- Taki could have been physically in her early thirties in the SC5 timeline.

I'm waiting for Pyrrha to be around on SC XI, 217 years in the future.
