The purpose of this thread is very simple: collect the most South American players to play some decent DOA5 lagless matches. Maybe other fighting games as well.

I'm kinda used to play with huge amounts of lag, but it would be really nice to play every now and then with some fellow Argentinians, Brazilians, Chileans, etc, etc. Even if the skill level in these parts of the world is rather low. There is always room to improve and get better if one is determinant enough. The thing is with nearby countries I get mostly +3 bar connections and the game runs very smooth.
I guess the thread won't get much attention, and may be (or not) considered a little pointless. The few South Americans who are already here, I believe we already played and play once in a while. However, there could always be newcomers and, people who never came across, and so on. I usually redirect poeple who are interested to grow as players to this place. So the main purpose is to forge some new circles and to make DOA grow in these lands.

Are you from South America? Do you wanna play DOA5 with fellas within your region? If yes, well then fucking post here and let us know, so then we can fucking play the game!

Well, it's not a big deal if you don't do it. But then, it's nice to present yourself. Especially if you plan to be a "regular" on the forum. As I said, there is plenty of info and topics of discussion.
You both main Tina it seems. I recommend you to check her character sub-forum and see if you can find useful techs for your gameplay, or even share your own techs to help improve other Tina players.

Anyway, we'll use this thread to organize our lobbies :)

Yeah, I'll take a look at her sub-forum, too bad I doubt I can share anything useful, since I'm not good with her yet :p

By the way, I'm expecting more people to join us soon, I'll insist lol ;d

Anyway, I can't believe I never saw this thread. I can't play this game online anyway because my internet is really, really bad. (Ask FakeSypha or WiZzYx) but I guess I could try on PS3 one of these days. We should man up and meet up for offline matches in the summer. (Argentina's winter)

Lol. Yeah, but there are some BRs here too and I'm not sure if they know Spanish very well. In any case, lets go Ñ mode xD

Siendo objetivos, lamentablemente, todas nuestras conexiones en lineas generales son una mierda >.<

El tema de juntarnos para jugar offline estaria excelente. El problema es en donde y con quienes jugar? xD

Ahora que lo mencionas, en este tiempo estuve expandiendo horizontes y jugando otros FGs. Estuve participando activamente en la scene offline de SSFIVAE (soy super free todavia, pero ahi estoy). Como sea, me meti en un grupo de amigos ya establecido. Los tipos son de juntarse mas o menos seguido para practicar, etc. Gente buena onda. La ultima vez que nos juntamos, lleve el DOA5 como para introducirlos un poco. Parece que pico algo de interes. La verdad es que son players del palo de los FGs 2D. Entonces tienen muy poca nocion de 3D, asi que tuve que enseñarse cosas bien basicas. Les gusto la onda semi-porno que tiene el juego y el tema de los holds (lamentable, pero algo es algo jajaja). De todas formas, yo les jugaba a cara de perro para mostrarles que es un juego de pelea (con sus falencias y virtudes tambien).
Posiblemente para cuando salga DOA5U se prendan a jugar. Hay un par que estan bastante hypeados. Ahora es bastante al pedo que se compren el DOA5, sabiendo que no van a ser compatibles. Por lo pronto, seguro que la proxima juntada les siga enseñando algunas cosas como para ir preparandolos.

TL;DR edition: quizas, con viento a favor, pueda haber una pequeña local scene de DOA en Bs As.

Fake: Bueno afortunadamente los dioses me escucharon y conseguí a dos amigos (uno de ellos esta aquí Sergio Bartolomé) que juegan DOA5 bastante y viven a solo minutos de mi casa. Y estoy como hablandole bonito del juego a tres más con lo que la escena en Caracas subiría de 1 a 6 si me esfuerzo.

Hablando de manera realista, dudo mucho que pueda viajar este verano (invierno tuyo). Pero realmente sería excelente intentarlo algún día. Creo que BsAs es la ciudad perfecta para intentarlo en algun Agosto-Septiembre cuando ya esté en el mercado el Ultimate. Es realmente una lástima que el maldito internet tercermundista que nuestros gobernantes de mierda ofrecen nos prohiba seguir disfrutanto de los juegos; y ahí incluyo Vf5FS el cual aún no saco de mi corazón.

Yo opino que podríamos hacer que un gathering offline sea una realidad en Agosto-Septiembre 2014 cuando ya estemos familiarizados con el Ultimate y siempre y cuando todos aún estemos aquí en FreeStepDodge. Si vemos que sale bueno el juego y nos animamos, de mi parte es cuestión de comprar boleto de avión y quedarme en cualquier hotel sencillo.

@Mike: Totalmente de acuerdo. Una vez con DOA5U en la calle y algo de tiempo como para ver que tal va la mano, tendriamos que retomar esta idea y hacer algo al respecto xD
La otra vez estaba hablando con Wizzyx sobre esto. Por lo que me dijo, se prenderia para algun evento offline siempre y cuando haya gente jaja.
Hay un lugar aca en Bs As como para estas juntadas offline. Esta bastante bien equipado, tiene 8 consolas, proyector, stream en vivo. Osea, da como para hacer un torneito (si logramos conseguir gente, obviamente). Justamente en estos dias se estuvo hablando como para hacer una juntada dedicada a los 3D FGs. Creo que lo que mas convocatorio haria aca es el TTT2, pero son muy muy pocos tambien y no se que tan dispuestos estan para algo offline.

Como sea, espero que al menos un par del grupo este que mencione antes se enganchen para jugar seriamente al DOA, y solamente para mirarle el culo a Ayane, las tetas de Tina, etc. Crucemos los dedos!

Hablar de la posiblidad de una offline scene me HYPE, Mike :D

Bueno como te digo, aca ahora hay chances reales de armar una escena de al menos seis personas para comenzar. Incluso si juegan decente y basico y les importa las tetas prefiero eso a no tener nadie y estar molesto con la vida por no poder jugar mis fighters favoritos.

Mi experiencia con DOA5 ha sido TAN extraña y accidentada que a estas alturas no me he decidido en un main.

I'm too lazy to try something in spanish XD, but I can read, so don't worry about me.

In September there will be the 'Treta Aftermath', it's some kind of brazilian EVO, DoA isn't in the line... well, I'll be there for TTT2 and SCV, maybe some DoA freeplay (I hope...I hope...)

Me and a friend are trying to keep alive a session for DoA on a big BR fórum dedicated to Fighting Games, it's hard lol, no one want's to step outside to play offline, since I play all of 3D FG, I'm playing with more people more often, I hope I convince them to play DoA, but to be honest I'm not expecting a solid scene...
