After watching the Smash Invitational....I gotta say....I wanna Wii U now...just because of what happened at that event.

I religiously played the first two games when I was younger. Brawl was absolutely terrible for the many reasons that have already been discussed to death, so I didn't play that one for long. Now, I play Project M a lot, as it is easily the best one to date. I simply can't go back to Melee after PM.

With the new one, I have no idea who I'll be playing. I have no attachment to any of Nintendo's characters, so I'll just pick someone who's good and that I find fun to use.

I'll be playing on 3DS, sadly, but there is a chance I'll get a Wii U if the game is actually good this time, or if they do a Smash Bros. console bundle at the time of release.

A) holy crap Seamus got big tits now
B) holy crap Ike got ripped!
C) anyone not like how they are doing the ty the Tasmanian tiger side mouth for sonic? I liked the sa2 settle centered mouth he had in Brawl.
D) dibs on Rosalina.
E) is Olimar gimped with only three pikmin?
D) anyone else really hope they have other m short haired Samus as an alt costume for zss?

Smash is still very much a casual party game. The only thing that made it "competitive" was not using items at tournaments.
Yes. And no its defeats the point of plating smash bros. Its supposed to be chaotic.

Then again if a game like Marvel can be considered competitive, anything can lol.

Am I the only one that felt like playing Project M after playing Smash for 3DS/Wii U? Happened to me yesterday and Sunday.

I enjoy the SSB games a lot. Melee was my favorite. I didn't really like Brawl a whole lot and I still haven't played Project M yet. I plan on getting both versions of SSB4 on Wii U and 3DS though for sure.

I used Sonic, Marth, Link, Sheik and Falco. In SSB4, my mains will most likely be Sonic and Palutena, and maybe Sheik. If Link gets buffed more, I may use him again too. Marth looks like he got nerfed a lot, but I might still use him anyway.

On the 3DS version, there is a new mini-game that is quite a bit different from Coin Launcher in Brawl. This is called Trophy Rush.

His Brawl up taunt makes good Falcon Punch air dodge bait (If I find the video when I get home I'll post it).

I did notice in one of the trailers they are taking the Kid Icarus Uprising approach to difficulty scaling. You modify a bar to give yourself higher difficulty levels probably with better rewards upon level completion.
