Corocoro said the same thing for Brawl and they missed some characters. They most likely don't know the whole roster.

Hmm, well I'm pretty sure we wont see any more Fire Emblem characters for this game. To be honest, I semi wish they put in Chrom and Sumia or something from Awakening as opposed to Robin & Lucina. I mean, I'm happy either way! I love fire emblem and more characters from that the better ( Plus the female robin was literally the way my avatar looked in awakening. So that's cool! )

Tiki or Panne would have been awesome characters too. Panne especially, with her ability to turn into an animal it would have provided interesting gameplay. Same with Tiki being able to turn into a dragon, of course that could have been their final smash abilities but still. Would have been sweet!

I'm curious as to who else they will be adding though, I'm guessing the next announced will be Ness with the massive storm of people asking where he is. I guess people miss his PK thunder.

I've heard that Lucina plays similarly to melee Marth just she doesn't need to tip.
So I'm guessing that means she will have better air control? Can anyone confirm if this is actually the case?

Marth already had a great air game in Brawl, in Brawl it was second only to Metaknight. From what I've heard and seen it has been nerfed a bit, if anything Lucina will have a very slightly slower air game but an easier time dealing damage. Assuming that is the case then she probably will be right behind Marth in terms of air control.

I see they added marth with long hair, and a blonde with a book.

It seems to balance out the allstarness of Megaman, PAC Man, Sonic, and Mario being in one game, they had throw in these straight up "who?"'s like those two, and "what?" Characters like Wii fit, animal crossing, and greninja.

Robin and Lucia are from Fire Emblem: Awakening (Robin being your "avatar" that you experience the story as during the campaign). It is the most recent Fire Emblem game and released last year on the 3DS with very high appeal. Pretty sure a lot of people know who they are because the latest releases in a series is always the time to jump into them.

Not sure if you've been keeping up with anything Nintendo but everybody announced has been well known characters, even Palutena because of Kid Icarus: Uprising (I haven't kept up with Pokemon so I had no idea what a Greninja was until I looked it up).

I looked into more of the three characters, and there are some things you should know.

1. Lucina

We all know Lucina has the same moves as Marth, but the difference is based on the abilities. Nothing much to say about it, I guess except they gave her a taunt that is similar to Guile from Ultra Street Fighter 4 (putting an accessory on).

2. Captain Falcon

Everything from Brawl remains unchanged. (EDIT: except for his Reverse Falcon Punch)

3. Robin (Male & Female)
Robin has a detailed move list, courtesy of Famitsu:

Robin's Forward Smash
This move strikes your opponent with Robin's Thunder Sword. However, as you can only use Robin's Thunder Sword attacks a certain number of times, once you've run out of uses, this attack will hit with a regular bronze sword instead.

Forward air attack
When performing this move, if you were to smash the analog stick in the forward direction, Robin will attack with his Thunder Sword for additional electric damage. But like all of Robin's Thunder Sword attacks, you can only use the improved version a finite number of times.

Down+B: Nosferatu
Purple-black smog in the shape of a snake appears right in front of Robin when this move is used. If your opponent is hit by it, he or she will be "cursed" by the spell. When a cursed opponent is hit, Robin's health meter will recover. What's also interesting is that if the cursed opponent is struck from the back, the amount of health Robin recovers will be larger.

Neutral B: Thunder
Hitting the button once will activate a charging period for Robin's Thunder spell, and hitting it again will cast it. The amount of time Robin charges will determine the version of the spell cast (Thunder, Elthunder, Giga Thunder, or Tron).

While charging, you can also hit the shield button to cancel the move and store the charge -- the next time you hit the B button, Robin will resume charging from wherever you left off previously.

Up+B: Elwind
When this special move is performed in the air, Robin produces two green projectiles that he sends flying downwards, which simultaneously propels him upwards. However, you can only use this move a limited number of times. Once you've exceeded the number of uses, Robin will not produce the projectiles or jump higher.

Side+B: Giga Fire
Robin produces a projectile that flies diagonally downwards. When the projectile comes into contat with the stage, an opponent, or an item, it will generate a pillar of fire that spreads upwards, and deal area damage to anyone nearby.

Awesome, his tier fluctuates in battle (honestly sounds like he is gonna replace Ike as my secondary).

Edit: Just realized how creepy that picture is with a Leon image imposed on it...

I don't own a 3ds or Wii u at the moment, so no no idea who the fire emblems are, and ibhavent bought a Pokémon since silver.

@Mr. Wah Actually there was a change in the turn around Falcon Punch. Reverse Falcon Punch actually does more damage than the previous one. I think there are more minor changes, but that's what I got so far.

The fire emblem characters aren't "who's". More so a "if you played this series you know who they are" kind of thing like some of the n64 cast was.
