I've been doing nothing but 1-on-1 matches so far. I'll have to try out a few 4-player matches later, but I doubt it'll look pretty against randoms.

k I caved and bought it... and a Samus amiibo because I'm weak. My Nintendo thing is same as PSN, if anyone wants to play against my shitty Samuses (Samii?)

The netcode does seem good. Did 1 on 1, 4 player, even team. Out of maybe 20 matches only 1 was unplayable.

Classic 9.0. OH GOD CLASSIC 9.0! Smash has never had brutally difficult AI, but this one takes the cake. Trying to clear this difficulty without dying is like trying to bend my spine at a 90 degree angle. As the mental imagery suggests, the brutality of this mode isn't pretty. Be warned. If you guys think you're ballsy enough to start at max difficulty from previous Smash experience, be in for a huge shock to your system.

Blegh. I need some Tylenol for this rage-induced headache.

Smash for Wii U is really fun as a side game. I've done only 8-Player Smash and surprisingly, I prefer using my 3DS as the controller. However, with the people I play with, they normally do not prefer items, which I actually do prefer. But still a fun experience. I will say that, even though Smash for Wii U is fun, I am satisfied with Smash for 3DS for the simple fact that it's portable and fun distraction.

WiiU will be the next console on my list after I get an Xbox One tomorrow.
for me right now it goes

- New Computer (get most expensive out of the way first)
- PS4 (MGS5 and KHIII)
- or WiiU (Smash and Hyrule Warriors).

Wii u will probably come first, since the two games I want a ps4...for...won't come out till 2015 anyway.

Getting a WiiU for Smash, Bayonetta 2 and Fatal Frame 5 (if it becomes available for the US).

I think if you're gonna get one console this gen the WiiU is the right call. Normally I buy Sony consoles a year or two after launch but this time I can see myself waiting 3 years or more since 99% of the games will get a superior PC version (graphics options, backwards compatible, free online etc)

Smash BTW is pretty fun but only if you have friends to play with. This is the first time I've played online and it's really not that fun against randoms. You can't chat or trash talk, which is a huge part of Smash IMO. Very boring without it

Wii U has a few great first party titles and anemic third party support. Only a wise call if you really like Nintendo games. I have one but I'm not kidding myself on thinking it's more than a Smash and Mario Kart machine.

Lol. Yeah. Those games are pretty much the only reason I want one.

Is anyone having any trouble performing DACUS? I had heard it was still in the game, but harder to do now. I didn't get a chance to try doing it myself when I played.

I don't even care about Mario kart and I would rely on online for people to play smash with

So I guess I just want one for hyrule warriors lol

Pretty much why I've never been interested in Nintendo consoles in recent years. It seems like after the GameCube, Nintendo consoles have gotten little to no 3rd party support. The Wii U is pretty much in the same boat right now, as it's mostly for people who enjoy Nintendo games. The only Nintendo games I purchase and enjoy are Smash, Mario Party, and Pokémon (which are on handhelds). Most of the Nintendo 1st party games never really caught my interest. They're fun to play with others, but they're not franchises that I want to get my hands on.

Outside of Metroid Prime I'm actually not the biggest fan of Nintendo games, in fact I haven't been a fan of any of their consoles since SNES. The main reason I got into WiiU was third party (Bayonetta, Xenoblade, Fatal Frame, Devil's Third etc.) Nintendo's killing it when it comes to actual exclusives, i.e. stuff you can't also play on your laptop

BTW any Palutena users? I really want to pick her up (because lasers are cool) but man it's tough.
