When the Akira design from hinogami was posted on tweet, I said them that now BananAkira had a wortthy rival and they answered with a "Mmmm." (that I interpreted like a serious consideration about my statement). So yes, I think that they consider serious your entry (more I'm sure that many Japanese people should love the "crazy" idea XD)
Hopefully that was an "mmm" of contemplation and not an "mmm" of "I'm biting my tongue because I desperately don't want to make that banana thing." xD They RT'd his submission, so that's a little worrying (not that it's bad, mind you. it's actually a nicely drawn design). But you are right about the JP community liking the craziness. I seem to be getting a lot of likes and RTs from JP users. :D

My pics almost done, should be up by tomorrow
Looking forward to it.
We need more unmasked Busa, especially with his long, flowing, sexy hair.

Never fear! Taking a picture of my first draft tonight or tomorrow night. :)

EDIT: Uploaded first draft. Feedback would be great, as I am not very experienced with drawing people, or clothing for that matter. Quality is not that great because I took the photo with my 3DS XL. Stance looks a bit awkward due to it being based off of Busa's idle stance.

Anyone get any likes/comments for their entries yet?
I received some likes and a comment from DOA's own Christie-Michael Savtsov (lol) saying to read the rules about helping my brother w/his entry. The people running the contest have replied w/"Thank you", so I think it's fine. Rules say one entry per person, but not anything about helping someone w/art.

Your MR and Momiji entries are still listed on that French site anyways.

But Brute, actually I think that they retweet every submissions for stating like they were accepted, and not simply what they favourite. By the way even your one was retweeted by Team Ninja.

It was? Admittedly, I have no idea how Twitter works, so you may be right. I still log in and go "What is this and how do I read it?" xD

Well, the fact is that Team Ninja doesn't simply retweet the entries, but give an answer and quote exactly the text of the message (for this reason they write "RT", like if this was a sort of "manual retweet").

By the way I'm not able to see a such post "retweeting" you on Team Ninja's profile..I was sure to have retweeted your post just through their notice on twitter. But maybe I could be wrong.

Anyway I checked on Facebook and I saw that you posted the same entry even there: Team Ninja give the message "entry accepted" just in one of their social networks. They have already done that with your design on FB, so there was no reason to do it on twitter too.

^badass!

I can't think off anything else to add, unless you want to put color guide notes in the text descriptions.

Let me know when you submit it so I can favorite/RT/share ir or w/e

No problem. I considered coloring it, but I don't have any good coloring tools nor can I really decide what colors I'd want, so many would work well.

Edit: Just submitted it to their twitter.

Nah, I don't think that could exist a rule about this.

I'm somewhat puzzled about it though. I mean, I created a Christie costume entry (which I posted at the 5U Wanted Costumes Thread a few days ago) as part of an agreement between QueenJakheiho and I.

Then when I look at that French website (which contains all the costume entries), I don't see it even if I saw her tweet saying that the entry was received by TN.

So, not to sound like an idiot, but could you give me a link? I don't know what I'm doing on Twitter and can't find it. xD

I would but this is my first time using twitter and I know pretty much nothing about it either. I think TN has to approve it first or something for it to appear on their page.

I saw this tweet, this time I'm pretty sure! XD

You sent your message to Team Ninja and when they will approve your entry will write a message on their twitter page, making your entry viewable for everyone visiting TN's profile.

By the way currently your twitter profile should present your post that you send to TN: if you give us your twitter nick we can look for your post and favouriting/retweeting it. In this way we will give to it visibility to our followers (basically they are the "friends" for facebook), so trying to make it more popular ;)

Unless they retweet it, it will never appear on their page (such was the case with my submission). But if you go to your Twitter profile (hit your name at the top-left), hit the tweet with the costume picture in it and it should expand. Then, click where it say "Details" next to the timestamp, and it'll bring you to a new page. Copy-paste that URL, and I'll be able to see it and RT it and favorite it and all that good stuff.

Yup that's the tweet. I was expecting the entry to be featured at DOA.fr though (considering that site updates the latest entries from FB and Twitter daily).

The Sarah one I posted at the 5U Wanted Costumes a few days ago was also part of an agreement between JDSILVA and I, but haven't given him the go signal to submit it yet.
