Good. Other M was bad and he should feel bad.
Actually most of the problems of Other M were decisions of Sakamoto(From Super Metroid) and they only followed. (There is even an article them throwing Sakamoto under the bus)

They wanted to use Wiimote and Nunchuck but they were told to just use Wiimote held like a NES controller. Gameplay was theirs mixed with Sakamoto and Story totally Sakamoto apparently. How true is it still looks bad for both sides.

Im going to say Wii U port of DOA5 or a new IP. Itagaki-less Team Ninja needs to establish itself, and creating a new IP is the real way to do that.
Completely agree. It would be the best to show what they have.

Was DOAX2 so horrible from a gameplay standpoint? I played DOAXBV on XBox and enjoyed it, but passed on DOAX2. I hear nothing good about it from a gameplay perspective. I hear it was basically a lesbian dating sim (a bit extreme sounding imo). I honestly can't be much more excited than I am already for DOA5 so I may be a little biased in my lack of excitement on any new reveal.

For me it's not really bad, but with the exception of the graphics it's definitely a step back in comparison to its predecessor: the idea to add new activities was good, but they are implemented bad in the game (with the exception of the marine race they are too short and often hard, with the impossibility to train for them); the collections of the girls are oriented too much toward the "sexy factor", at the expense of a major variety for them like in the the previous title (anyway the idea to create some swimsuits inspired to the main costumes of the girls in the official series is good); and overall the impossibility to play offline with friends and to choose the swimsuit for the characters in the online mode is surely the thing more bad.

Anyway about the volleyball game I must say that in DOAX2 the camera is more stable following the ball from a side to the other of the court, when in the first game I must say that gives me headache with the time for its drastic movements. The (slightly) major interaction between the girls with the "be friend" video and the care for the differents comments of every girl toward a specific object (in according with their personality or backstory) are nice, but effectively is too little.

Returning on the topic, I remember that Team Ninja was considering the idea to create a port of Doa5 also on Wii U (in this case we can be sure that Samus will make its entry in the DOA Tournament ;) ) but sincerely now seems to early for me.

Thx for the indepth feedback Kronin.
If the announcement did end up being DOA5U, I wouldn't even be mad if it got exclusive Nintendo content and characters. Lord knows Nintendo needs helps gaining back the core gamers. I grew up with Nintendo and would love to support the company and products. There's just far too little support outside of first party titles to entice me and many of the 1st party titles don't personally appeal to me. I had a Gamecube that collected dust. I didn't even consider the Wii. Give me a reason to go back to Nintendo.

I remember my first impressions of DOAX2 were positive and I wrote a little review for the forum I was in, but later on I was talking about how it was shit lol it doesnt stay interesting for the long run.

Anyway sorry for off topic.

^ Don't worry, it's not something minor like a portable game. They said the new game is for 据置ゲーム機 (home consoles), not 携帯ゲーム機 (handhelds)

They screwed up the volleyball game which was decent before(Not something great). Added more events to do that play poor or are just boring.

Well, I wouldn't say they "screwed up." Its more along the line of they can't really mimic what they did with doax1 because the original xbox controller had pressure sensitive buttons and doax1 took full advantage of that which imo made the volleyball part of the game actually good. Obviously the 360 controller doesn't have pressure sensitive buttons so they couldn't really mimic that design with doax2.

As for the TGS thing. If they said its a new title I doubt its going to be any of their current IP's. Dunno if anyone remembers it but back in 2005 they announced a new IP Ni-Oh that never came about.

I say its quite possible that they are returning to that title. Then again I could be completely wrong.

I prefer something new. I don't feel any interest towards Ni-Oh since it gives me Musou vibes and I don't like that type of games if its different then I'll give it a look but not so much into it. We'll see.

Whoever originally suggested Ni-Oh obviously can't read Japanese. They're unveiling a game, not simply showing new footage of an old game

I didn't read the tweet only went over what was being said in the thread(also I can read Japanese just fine). And unveiling a game could mean anything. Ni-Oh never showed its face again after the 2005 trailer. Them showing Ni-Oh is just as likely as them showing a new IP.

Well this is pretty lame... the reveal was another NG, and not even a true NG. Or technically even a new game.

Back to DOA5 hype mode.

Won't say its necessarily lame...Its a Keiji Inafune game set in the NG universe. I'm not mad at that. Kinda similar to what Platinum Games' MGR is to MGS.

The next patch (Ver.1.03A) has been scheduled for release for PS3 on Feb. 12. It will address the issue found with Ver.1.03 gameplay.

So they basically fucked up again? How idiotic, considering the uproar the poll caused and how pretty much anybody that ever mattered voted for the glitch to stay.
