for the legacy costumes don't expect anything from before Tekken 6, cuz that would require them to actually make content

I don't think so tbh, they've shown with the new dlcs(minus the reused maid costumes from TTT2) they can make fresh new stuff if they want to, and the legacy costumes with legacy hair they remade too like Nina and Xiaoyu and Asuka(shrine maiden) and Zafina. I think they just reused the stuff they have so far besides that since it's easy and they want to make sure they keep their revenue before season 2 when they're really have to ref up their content.

There's also just the sheer drought of shop content recently in general, they went from 4 legacy costumes every update to 2 then around the time they added Asuka's T5 classic blue jumpsuit is around the time they started only giving 1 legacy costume every new update. Even the universal stuff stopped, you used to get a female and male universal pack like every other month or so now we're only getting 1 pack of maid costumes and nothing else until season 2 I guess. Also the battle passes really suck and most of the good items are usually locked behind the high tiers too
I think they slowed down since the legacy costumes don't really sell, or at least the ones they discounted including the least popular dlc costume packs. They should probably evaluate what people really want as legacy costumes since most of the stuff they used is stuff that should have been in already, or it was costumes no one cares about like Law, Yoshi etc.
And I personally believe they're slowing down till after Anna drops, probably gives them time to catch her up and adapt the DLC packs she missed to her. They don't want to release anything too good now until season 2 to keep people buying

I thought Harada and the Team said it was much of a hassle for them to make and release legacy costumes back from the PS1/PS2 days (Pre-Tekken 4) due to the designs doesn't meet their standards or some shit. And they now released Heihachi's T3 P1 outfit. So, where's my Nina T2 P1 outfit then?!
Harada also bitches more than anyone on planet earth.

it's 100% the tekken 6 version lol it might be based on Tekken 3's P2 but the version in Tekken 8 is this version ported over with new textures

So, Season 2, we have 2 returning characters after Anna and a brand new character and stage in Winter 2025/2026. The new stage for the Summer is celebrating the 45th anniversary of Pac-Man.
Looks like dark blue and purple colors are for the 2 returnees. *sigh* I know purple is DEFINITELY Kunimitsu II. Blue can go either way, might be Armor King, Marduk, Miguel, Fahkumram, Bruce, Bob, GANRYU... I don't think I will get a Chang for this season!
