Guys, that's not how this is usually handled. If an artist designs a character or costume design especially for a company, the company usually acquires the complete, unlimited rights for that design. (Remember the small print about the rights of a costume design in the DOA costume contests?) It wouldn't make any sense and be very shortsighted to cease the rights of a design after a game. The designer could do what he wanted to do with the design then. He could even sell it to another company.
That design surely belongs to Namco. They can use as they please in the future. Maybe they will again, maybe they will not. They might want to give new designs from other designers a chance to change things up.

Of course it can return. Though it probably won't. You know why they do these artist/designer collaborations. To momentarily generate attention. The manga artists that design costumes for games like Tekken or Soul Calibur are usually all the rage at that point because they have a certain popular manga or anime series running. Now, several years later, it wouldn't make as much sense to use the same designs by the same artists again. They would go for artists that are "in" right now. If the same artist is still in, he would design a completely new costume. It's supposed to be something new and exclusive after all.

These new Tekken stickers has Miharu, Jun, and Jaycee in them, so they are speculated to be in, especially since Eliza is in them

Idk about Jaycee getting in since Julia is said to be in the game. Although Lee and Violet are together, so Julia and Jaycee could be the same case

Plus Miharu wasn't in Tekken Revolution, so that may indicate something

Update: Harada gave a statement as to why they're doing season passes/dlc - also confirming there won't be any classic dlc characters.

In the past, we had to stop all updates and support within 2months after launch(Because no development Budget).
With Season Pass, we can guarantee one year of Additional Development Cost and development Team (Retention of development team structure) from our Company/Publisher.
Also, we do not sell classic Tekken characters, Paid DLC will be special content. With this system, we can do free updates and support for a long time.
This is what I've been saying in an interview article (I have talked about it in several interviews before, so please read it).

Seems logical considering after Tekken 6 and Tag 2 those games never saw updates (other than T6 lag fix patch and the freebie clones in Tag 2 + Tekken tunes dlc). A tekken game with longer dev support should be interesting. Not that they need it, Tekken always does fine in S.Korea/Japan when dying here in the U.S

Lee's in the game, Michelle's old as fuck (she only looked like she hasn't age because tag 2 wasn't canon and they wanted to keep her appeal) - and basically yes. I'm sure there's going to be more classics in the game at launch. Let the game come out.

I'm fine with that, although I feel for anyone hoping for Michelle, Jun, and any older females at this point. I'm still holding out for my second OG bitch Anna Williams tho. The people on FB already said she's gonna be a part of this and she's nowhere near old, she's in the same non age boat as Nina so there's no reason she shouldn't come back.

Michelle "old as fuck"?? She was in her 20s in T1&2 just like Nina she'd be in her 40s in T7 if "old as fuck" characters like Nina, Law and Paul can make it in I'm sure Michelle could easily.

They could also pull a Kazumi and have her past self as a character

And Grunt I think you missing the point...Nina and Anna underwent cryosleep, so they're physically still 22-24, Michelle however didn't undergo it so at this point it's really just gonna be her daughter taking over. And past self as a character? That'd be strange. And you have to remember that Paul and Law are males, Tekken gives no fucks about male age but they'll drop or replace a female who is physically considered "old" in Japan. This doesn't apply to Japanese males bar maybe Wang who probably passed away or retired, and Baek too, but then again it was probably due to the lack of their popularity.

Basically we just have to accept the fact Julia will likely just be confirmed and Michelle won't, she really has know further reason to fight after a decade and two more additional years.
