Tengu though I'm expecting him to get the Alpha treatment. On paper he'll look like shit, everyone will say he's shit, a few loyal fans will prove them wrong, everyone will complain, and TN will take away his best tools a few months later.

I'm going to come back to this post a year later just to appreciate how prophetic I am.

Personally I think that the "Winner Finals" between Rikuto and XCalibur BladeZ was the best match of the FR16 DoA5 tournament, and XCalibur's Alpha was really good in that encounter.

Still can't believe this D: she (ahem..he?) was my favorite non-DOA kunoichi too. And doesn't Kasumi's voice actress do Kuni as well? Sigh...

Could you imagine two tengus though... I really wish TN would start padding their roster like Tekken. Would rather have 50 characters with variatons of 25 fighting styles over 25 characters with 25 styles. Maybe we could've had the entire DOAD crew by now, and then some (Miyako, Sonia, etc)

If they want to bring back Bankotsubo and add a female tengu, then that's fine by me, though I'd be rolling with Bankotsubo rather than his lady friend. What I meant was that Bankotsubo himself better come back before they add another tengu. No one can replace him.

I thought it was odd her voice was so deep and her shoulders were so broad. I guess their ideas changed since the first one. Like not wanting to have another male manji-style ninjutsu practitioner.

So, I recently asked PJudge to make a Tengu shirt similar to the Leon one he had made many months ago in the Leon petition thread. He agreed to and along with it he had done another Leon shirt as well as a hilarious poster featuring both characters, in addition to Ein.

Reposting DOA5U press release from Momiji thread... The underlined stuff (to me) practically confirms Tengu. They're adding so much stuff the reveals have to spread out across several months

The first bold section is referring to stages, but I suppose if they're going to bring back fan requested stages, that they'd do the same for fan requested characters as well. I totally expect to see Tengu return anyway. Hopefully he'll be kicking Ein's, or another new character's ass at E3. I also want to see his reveal trailer open with a graphically updated version of this.

Guys, who love Tag and the bosses characters (Alpha 152 and very likely Tengu will be included, still hoping and asking for Genra and Raidou) have to tweet TN for giving finally unique tag throws to them! It's time that also the bosses are treated on a par with the rest of the cast!

Good idea! I know this is the Tengu thread but now I'm thinking about Ayane/Genra tag. Ninpo and fire as far as the eyes can see!

Update: Looks like I don't have the Tengu pics anymore but I'll just redo them. So far I sent this Genra idea... He tosses someone into the air and BBQs them as Ayane charges up her ninpo and finishes them off. This is a special, instant-kill tag throw

If Genra does return, I hope they revamp his close range game as it is pretty horrible aside from his headbutt and throw. Some good frame advantage would be nice for starters.

That's pretty cool. My idea for his PB would be he slashes forward with his blade, and if it connects he slashes them into the air, and then launches a fireball into them like hayabusa.

Yeah she's really the only ninja I could see teaming up with the bad guys. All these ideas sound nice, I'll probably do something with her and Tengu too.

On the topic of tag I hope they make the throws more exciting. The animations are great but the camera angles are kind of boring. Something like this would be awesome:

Well I was thinking to Ayane just because Raidou is her bilogical father, and Genra her foster; in addition she is called also "Female Tengu" XD

Anyway IMO all the shinobi could team up with the bosses, but no other characters (with exception of the bosses themselves). This also because all the bosses are related to the ninja, from their fighting styles to their personal background.
