I want just clarify that the "please" which often my tweets end, is there for a form of respect toward the developers: off course I'm just asking for something, not ordering them. In addition we often forget it, but in Japan these "details" have a very important role in the relationships between people.

In no way this has to be seen like a form of begging (and like me, I think that the same it's true for all the other people that make similar requests).

Ok. During DOA5, they said they would NOT add characters as DLC, and bless him for the enthusiasm, but Emperor Cow has been aware and has made a point of telling anyone who discusses it, that Leon and Ein were intended to be in DOA5 according to Team Ninja.

So if TN had plans for Leon and Ein all along but just ran out of time with DOA5, does it make sense to campaign for Tengu? The same logic applies - and this is all I'm pointing out - that with Ultimate being completed from a design perspective - the game is done, its just balancing now - the Tengu decision is already made.

So either he is already in, and yet to be revealed, or he is definitely out. I don't mean to dampen anyone's spirits, but my view is we should think about it and be more realistic on what we "request" of the developer. Its nice that they asked for fan feedback on it, but I think its a bit of a platitude; considering the response I got here I don't blame them. TN are either being coy about the Tengu reveal, or deflecting overheated fan commentary on a character that no longer fits.

What would TN have to gain by holding back Tengu? He's not popular enough to warrant this level of evasiveness.

Yeah at this point hes not in the base game and will most likely be future DLC later on since they already have purchasable characters DLC plan with the F2P version. Sorry tengu fans but i think its for the best. Let TN concentrate on balancing the characters we have now and focusing on the gameplay tweaks/fixes these next 3 months and release a viable tengu later on as DLC instead of having them do a quick copy and paste job from DOA4/D tengu in the little time they have left

I'm pretty sure he is not going to be in the game and you guys don't seem to understand the development process. All the DLC content and patches have been set based on a fixed budget and time limit, so there is no way we'll be seeing any new characters, especially at this stage.

Any buts or wells are pretty much pointless at this point, because the devs can't do anything about it unless there is a HUGE request for it like Rachel and even then we might not see him for at least a whole year.

On the one hand, I feel bad for those who actually used Tengu. I know the feeling.

On the other hand, Tengu never really fit in with the rest of the cast (He's more of a Tekken style character), anyways, so I can understand him not being in to begin with. He's fine as a "final boss" like Genra, but as a regular character? Didn't really click.
