It would look cool if the explosion werent visually engulfing her. If you aren't far enough away from the explosion you just look stupid.
as is, she just looks like shes wondering of she left the iron on as her hair is catching fire.

Pssshhh! Lisa is not ditz, nor is Christie. They are both smart. Lisa is a scientist and Christie is a sneaky assassin. They're too good! Helena isn't a ditz either. She is very smart if you actually think about it. Ayane is just a disrespectful ass lol. All the other females are just eh.

What gets me about ayane, is that in 5, like most characters, they ruined her characterization. Before she was a prideful ninja assassin. Now she just comes across as a standard bratty teen.
It reminds me of the new ninja turtles cartoon. They have them acting like regular teenagers, when their actual upbringing means that they would never grow up to be like that. They were raised as Ninjas, not teens in beverly hills. Same with ayane. She was raised in seclusion as a black ops assassin. Where's the teen brattitude comin from?
Someone raised since birth as a deadly assassin is not gonna be acting the same as a regular teen from the suburbs.
Translation: The only non-immature girls in DOA are Christie, Helena, Mila, Lisa and Rachel.

She was treated like absolute crap since she was a little kid and she acts cold towards other people because of it. They bumped her attitude up a few notches in 5 though.
They aren't, though? Maybe Hitomi. Lei Fang just has a severe case of tunnel vision. I don't get how a fight over cabbage = airheads, it was just a silly moment.
Kasumi. The only 'immature' moment she had was getting enraged over Hayate and seeking revenge. But honestly, wouldn't anybody? Also Momiji. She's very mature for her age.

It is pretty interesting watching how much these characters have changed. I watched a DOA3 vid of Hitomi's story and couldn't believe it was the same girl from 4 and 5! Then in DOAD I remember Lei Fang being pretty snobby and b*tchy and now her and Hitomi suddenly act like 12 year old girls.
Then there's Lisa who swings from evil to good and works on lab experiments w/o even knowing what they're actually for. lol

Nothing to talk about with Lisa, she's top random. Office worker, scientist, luchadore, party girl, serious character, good, evil, the hell is she supposed to be, TN?Ugh. Who is Mila anyway? A weird fangirl using Tina to get to Bass? Where's the Lisa conversations?!
Till that's straightened out, not much to talk about.

Lisa's definitely complicated. Part of me thinks she puts on a front with her seriousness when she's a scientist and her carefree wrestling self is the real Lisa letting loose. Another part of me thinks the happy Mariposa is just a fake stage personality like a lot of wrestlers have and she only pretends to have fun. A third part of me thinks it's sloppy writing and TN going "this doesn't really make sense but whatever let's throw it in"
Lisa is mentally deranged and probably spent most of her in a loony house until DOATEC recognized her scientific talent and recruited her. But in her off time she still pervs out on Zack's silly islands and fights as a luchadora because she's still out of her fucking mind.

Lisa's drive to become a luchadora (or a wrestler of any style for that matter) stems from her childhood friendship with Tina. My guess is that it was based on a promise she made to her while also pursuing her career as a scientist. But something probably went awry in her pursuit at a wrestling career, and she took the job as a scientist for DOATEC to speed up her status in the ring and to get closer to Tina, who had been participating in the past DOA tourneys.
But this is all in good theory.
